NEW YEARS EVE!

New Years Eve with the Parrys - gotta love our traditions! We reserved tickets to see Star Wars at Chandler Mall at 7pm and met everyone there. We all sat back and enjoyed the movie. When it was over, Emma and Maddie took Eli and dropped him off at the Olsons for their mutual New Years Eve party and then Emma and Maddie headed to Fat Cats for a YSA party. They got asked by guys to mini golf with them, got asked to kiss at midnight, but mostly just had a good time together and never did any kissing. While they were gone partying, we took the twins and Whitney to Cheesecake Factory for desserts and some appetizers. After that we headed out to the mall parking lot and lit off a couple of fireworks and sparklers. Stephanie didn't feel very well even though she was pretending they did and so the night ended about 11:45pm - my boys were sad. We then headed to the Olsons house to pick up Eli. Emma came home around 2am. 2020 is going to be a crazy year! Hopefully a good year, good memories and that we can handle all the changes that will happen with Emma graduating!

POST CHRISTMAS!

Friday night Jared and I took Eli to the mall to spend his money from his Jensen grandparents and buy himself a white hoodie from Abercrombie with no zipper and drawstrings around the hood -yes he was that specific! He also discovered how much the store smells like cologne and he loves it! Ha ha! While we were gone Emma helped the twins bake Tyson's snowglobe cookies he got from Santa. I have loved all the time Emma has spent around the house this holidays with the boys! They have loved it too! On Sunday we had a charcuterie board and tons of snacks and sweets out all day for lunch and just played a ton of board games together - it was Tyler's perfect day! Maddie ended up joining us for dinner and more games and then her and Emma headed to the garage for painting and watching Grease! Tyler has requested we do this next Sunday as well since it's still break!

CHRISTMAS!

This was for sure the year of the best gifts ever - no Christmas will ever compare I'm afraid. The kids had very expensive wish lists and by some Christmas magic miracle, Santa was able to deliver all their desires! Emma got a MAC book pro for college, Lululemon clothes, etc, Eli got his Nintendo Switch and his Abercrombie and Fitch Clothes he dreamed and hoped for - even if he does pronounce it Abe-er-crom-bye! The twins got iPhone X R's and their Lucky Scooters. Eli and Tyson got the game Telestrations and Emma and Tyler got the Friends Lego set! Then the whole family got a trip to Disneyland and to the beach to stay at the Hotel Del Coronado! It's hard to think this is our last Christmas all together under the same roof. I don't want my family life to change. I love them all so much and want them to stay young forever! I love that Jared supported me in all my dreams as well. Jared did have just as much fun as the kids with their gifts helping them all put it all together - I mean come on everyone got something electronics - Jared's dream Christmas. Then we all made eggs, smokies and Christmas shaped pancakes together and of course Tyson made us all juice! After that everyone played with their stuff and I took a brief nap. Then we all got cleaned up and headed over to Nathan's house for the Jensen Christmas. We had dinner, did the Nativity and then opened gifts. Then we headed home - well half of us anyways. The twins ended up staying there for 2 nights! When we got home Jared and Eli played the Switch together and Emma was determined to find room in the hall closet for her paint set she wanted to buy with her money from Grandma and Grandpa Jensen and so she cleaned out the whole thing and lucky for us - or should I say unlucky for us - she found a few recorders in there and then she proceeded to serenade us with her musical talents and then when she finished she proceeded to tell herself "crushed it!"  Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

CHRISTMAS EVE!

When a one doesn't eat Fondue on Christmas Eve what else are you supposed to eat on this night?! I had no idea what to serve my little family of 6?! I decided to go with a family favorite - Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken and broccoli. So that morning we got everything we needed for dinner and then we met Grandma and Grandpa Rodgers at the movie theater to see Jumanji 3! After the movies we headed home played some games and then right before we ate dinner we let the kids open their Christmas jammies! This year I asked them all back in October what their favorite Christmas movie quote was and then had them printed up on shirts for everyone. They kept asking me what it was for, but I would never tell them. I eventually convinced them that I didn't end up doing anything with it. Well as soon as Tyson was the first one to open his up everyone was super excited because they realized what the quotes were for! These were their all time favorite jammies! Then we headed out back to eat dinner and watch Christmas Story. After wards we played some Uno and then it was time to spread reindeer food on the grass and leave our milk and cookies for Santa and say goodbye to Elmer for the rest of the year! The last night he left the kids a scavenger hunt and clues on how to find him. Tyson quickly wrote a note to Santa and then it was off to bed with visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads!
