In true Jensen form....nothing comes easy and our kids constantly have to work their way up due to no fault of their own. Eli is a senior and should have been a starter this year. He is good. It is hard to be a starter on a team with 6 coaches kids and a catcher (a position he doesnt play) one other spot went to another senior who rightfully earned and that left everyone else fighting for 1 position. It was brutal the first week. Lots of tears, frustration, Eli sending us a text that he wanted to quit and he was sorry for wasting our time and money. We are NOT even the slightest upset with Eli - we would have been if he'd quit - we don't quit, we finish what we start, but we can't be upset about things that are beyond our control. Not knowing what else to do for Eli, all I could do was offer him a blessing from his dad. So they he got one. Jared said it was one of the most spiritual experiences he had ever had. His blessing told him how was a great young man and was blessed with the mission his heart desired (foreign and speaking a different language). He was also told that now is the time to focus on the Lord. Get to know the Lord. Make him be your best friend. Pray to him daily. As he gets to truly know the Lord he will be blessed as a missionary, a husband, a father and future church callings. As he continues to turn to the Lord he will end up with a good baseball season. So as best as we can we are focusing on the Lord and Eli is getting up earlier, reading his scriptures, saying his prayers and still going to the Temple. We will just hold out hope that someone gets sick or injured and he gets to step in and kick butt - ha ha! Jk .... sort of.

SAYING GOODBYE TO JACKSON!
Jackson and Eli have been buddies since they were little! These 4 (Eli, Jackson, Jake & Braxten) would run around together! I love them all! The last couple of weeks before Jackson left on his mission they spents the weekends at our house doing pizza oven, playing oculus, hot tubing at Jakes, playing pickleball, Hope hosted a farewell dinner for Jackson and they all ate and hung out with their "Lake Powell" crew, etc. It was sad to go to his farewell knowing that soon all these boys would be gone! Eli was so grateful his call came the night before Jackson left so he could be there when Eli opened it! The next morning these boys got up early and drove to the airport to say goodbye to him. It is the end of an era....I am hoping it will be continued in 2 years. For now, till we meet again Jackson, love ya buddy!

END OF BASKETBALL!
And just like that it's the end of another season of basketball! The twins did amazing! We got to score every game and Jared and Mr Brooks would keep track of all their attempted shots and all their baskets and they would earn money each game! They did so good and Tyson got to play on both JV teams and Tyler played on JV2. They both started most of the JV2 games! We are so proud of how far they have come! And I enjoyed hanging out with my new basketball bestie, Aubrey! They had their end of the season basketball banquet and both got an academic award for their grades while being an athlete!
