HALLOWEEN!

Another tradition carried on! I love that our kids know what we do on Halloween without asking and look forward to it. We went over to the Parrys house and had soups, chicken nuggets, drinks, etc and then all went trick-or-treating. This year RJ and Alyza joined us. This year Emma and Maddie ditched us. This year the kids ran up to a lot of houses by themselves and we could just stand there while they hit up several houses in a row - while it was quite nice to be so lazy - it was also sad realizing our fast our kids are growing up and that sucks!

Emma had the opportunity with DC2 - to go around the valley and do a couple of "Thriller" flash mobs. She loved her costume (I found the perfect dress at Goodwill and Tiffany and I zombiefied it) and had fun getting ready with Tatum each time and doing her creepy makeup.

Intel had a party for employees and their families. We didn't get to spend much time at it, but the kids loved it and especially loved the zip line!

We did our traditional pumpkin purchasing at the pumpkin patch and then carved the pumpkins together! We love that the kids are getting older and after I help scrape out the inside and Jared helps trace their carvings they can carve it all themselves! Tyler may have had a small melt down when his pumpkin didn't turn out the right way - we blame Jared for not tracing it correctly - I can not stand to see that sweet boy cry - right before I was about to run to the store for another pumpkin - we decided to carve the word "boo" in the back and all the kids were super excited for his pumpkin because it had two carvings on it - ha ha!

Jared and I went and helped out at the school's Apex Fun Run - the boys love it when we come. We also made monsters out of rice krispy treats this year!

THRILLER AT TUACHUAN!

DC2 decided that because they were going to be doing some "Thriller" flash mobs it would be fun to rent a bus and take the girls up to St. George, Utah to go to Tuachuan and see Thriller performed there. They had to get on the bus at 6am on Saturday morning, took it up there, checked into their hotel, got some dinner at Cafe Rio, went and watched the show and then went back to the hotel. That next morning, they had breakfast, lounged around for a bit and then got back on the bus and came home. It was a short weekend away, but Emma had the best time!!

OCTOBER!

Such a random sampling of pictures I took during the month of October, but they all make me smile and here is why:

Breast cancer awareness month. The cheerleaders got pink pom poms, pink socks and pink bows!

For my parents birthdays we gave them tickets to go see Sound of Music at Gammage with Emma. My dad used to take her to shows all the time, but its been several years since they have been together so we thought they were due for a trip. We even had all the kids watch the movie before the show. Emma had a great time!

We spent several Friday nights going to Perry Football games. Because we are friends with Coach Frank Pezzerello at Hamilton, he got us onto the field for the big Perry vs Hamilton game. The boys loved it and LOVED trying to catch the balls after they kicked it for a field goal. Eli was actually able to catch one after it was tipped off of some kids finger - his face lit up!!

Great season Raiders. They ended up #2!

He put on Jared's glasses and asked me if he was sexy! Heck ya you are Tyler!

Eli's baseball team, Ignite, decided to forgo the baseball practice that night and go to Native New Yorker instead for pizza and wings and to watch game 7 of the Wold Series of Cubs vs Indians. Coach Matt Palmer wanted the boys to be a part of history!

Alyza's little play group after preschool. We love Tilly and Monroe!
 .

Eli had his first 4th grade field trip!

We have two couches and a chair to sit on, but these two insist on sitting together to watch tv. Melt my heart!

Alyza loving on her buddy Tyson at one of Emma's football games!

I told the kids they all had to help paint the gate - ya these are the last two standing. The other two ditched them. My sweet helpers!

These two love making rice krispy treats.

Where might you find me on a weekend night - oh just at Espee watching my boys play baseball! My weekend life is spent at the sports fields. Wouldn't have it any other way - some day I will miss these crazy weekends.

I took Eli out of school to go shopping for clothes for family pictures. He wanted skinny jeans because his older sister told him he would look good in them! Here he is proudly modeling them with his new boots and his little side kick!

ELI EARNED HIS BEAR!

Eli earned his bear award. He was most excited to go into the tent and attack the bear. We downloaded some bear growling noises so that when Eli entered the tent to fight off the bear (his dad) Jared was in there and played the speaker and they moved around in there and threw out Eli's shoes, etc. The kids thought it was so cool! One cub scout asked if there was a real bear in there. Eli and Jared were a huge hit!

IGNITE FARM AA PICTURES!

Eli was on another new baseball team this year. They were Ignite, coached by Matt Palmer. He played in the Farm AA division and loved it because it is finally real baseball rules so that boys loves nothing more than to steal bases! This season he also played in his first baseball tournament. He did  not have the best winning record on this team, but the coaching staff is awesome, the coach is phenomenal and Eli grew a lot and the coach wants to keep Eli for many years to come because he can see his drive and passion and he wants to learn so the coach loves that!
