Halloween was our usual busy day/weekend! We helped out at the boys Apex run at school - this year the 5th and 6th graders got to do a color run. That was a color mess, but they loved it! Jared and I also helped out in the twins class party. I seriously love watching them interact with their classmates and its so funny to watch them become the cool kids when their parents show up! Grandma and Grandpa Rodgers borrowed some costumes from us so they could go to Grandpa's Parkinson's Halloween party. And we went over to the Parry's house for our usual hot dog mummies, potato soup, chicken tortilla soup and trick-or-treating. This was the first year I had a child ditch us...and surprisingly it wasn't Emma. Eli asked if he could go with his friends instead of coming with us since he has no one his age. On the outside I was happy to oblige, but on the inside I was sad he left, but happy he was having such a good time! He never wanted to come home but we finally made him at 9:30pm. He was a zombie baseball player. Emma and Maddie were Monica and Rachel from Friends. Tyson was a gillie suit, Tyler a blow up gorilla and I am not actually sure what Payton and Chiara are, but they are cute none the less. It is going to be so weird next year not to have Emma and Maddie with us. Love our crew! Love our traditions!

PHOENIX RISING GAME!
Eli's club soccer team RSL - got cheap tickets to the Phoenix Rising game. Emma and I couldn't go, but Jared took the 3 boys. They LOVED it. They were totally into the game, the boys got to go on the field, the boys wouldn't let Jared leave until it was completely over, there was a band with color powder being thrown up in the air, they got to meet the players, Phoenix Rising ended up winning and getting to go to the championship after that. It was the perfect boys night out!

ASU VS STANDFORD!
A house divided! Jared decked himself out in ASU gear and Eli of course decked himself out in Stanford gear! Lucky for me, Eli left happy cause Stanford won! We got seats in the 50 yard line and about 30 rows up - we were super close and Eli got to see his favorite Bryce Love play! We tried very unsuccessfuly to get a picture with him, but oh well. Some college kids after the game offered to let Eli jump the fence with them and run and try, but he chickened out! ha ha! (random story, Jared ended up losing his wallet in the parking garage, but a stranger picked it up and looked through it and found his temple recommend and was able to track down our Bishop and he called us during the game and let us know that someone had Jared's wallet, so after the game we got to go and pick it up with everything in it and they happened to be in Regina's ward. What a small world and a big blessing.) I love going to football games, but I especially love going with my man Eli! He is the cutest! Happy birthday buddy!

FHE!
With Tyler, Tyson and Mikey running back and forth between each other's houses they pretty much become family at each home. Often times on Mondays the twins will end up over at the Cardons for FHE. They love it! And they love eating dinner over there too - ha ha!

ELI PASSES THE SACRAMENT!
Eli got to receive the Priesthood today from Jared and got to pass the Sacrament for the first time today. He was very very nervous about it. I told him not to worry at all, just don't pill the bread and water on the cute girls and you'll be fine - ha ha! He looked so handsome in his new suit that we went shopping all over for. He picked it out himself and his tie. The best looking deacon we have in our ward! He did a great job and wanted to make sure when he sat down with us that we told him so! He even bore his testimony for the first time (ok maybe second?!)!

YMCA BASKETBALL LEAGUE!
Tyson is obsessed with basketball. He thinks he is going to be in the NBA some day. We enrolled the boys into the YMCA Jr Suns Competitive league and they had a blast! It is always fun when you are doing a sport you love and with your friends no less - not to mention they were a pretty good team and almost ALMOST made it to the championship game that would have been played at the Suns Arena. Tyson might not be the tallest player, but he sure makes up for his size with his scrappiness and serious face and can do anything attitude he has! Tyler was also quite the baller, but he is much more reserved and doesn't get fired up like Tyson does. I am pretty sure he just does basketball to appease Tyson and he just goes with the flow. Hopefully the boys can take these mad skills and use them on the courts for some good old fashion church ball!
