SUMMER SHENANIGANS!

Well when you have a wedding in the very beginning of the summer...it doesn't leave much money for any amazing trip plans....so this summer it was every man for himself around here!

Highlights: Eli golfed all summer, Eli and Jake did Feed My Starving Children with our ward for mutual, Jensen family get togethers, Tyler and Tyson started really practicing behind the wheel and took the car out for real drives in the church parking lot and out on the streets, the twins friends started getting their licenses and started picking them up, our ward did an 18 hour read the Book of Mormon in one day, I made Tyson hold my hand and let me take a pic of it, they did A LOT of late night video gaming, Eli ran around with Jake, Jackson and Braxten all summer playing golf, baking, playing volleyball with a bunch of new kids from different schools, I ran into them in the costco parking lot and they very kindly helped me unload my groceries and then quickly needed me to help them get inside with my card and then I bought their lunch, Tyler and Tyson played a crap ton of basketball through QC Select and ALA and of course Kaleb spent a week at our house and rounding out the summer fun...yard work!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

First day of school! Eli is a senior and Tyler and Tyson are sophomores!

Eli told me his backpack needed to be Ninjago because him, Jake, Jackson and braxten  used to play it all the time when they were younger! (Eli was the white ninja!)

If you need me, I'll be in the corner crying since this is his last year!

BACK TO SCHOOL BLESSINGS!

Well this was weird to only have the boys receiving blessings this year! Emma is in Idaho and all done with school! I love this 30 minutes of time in our home where the boys are quiet and reverent and the spirit is there!

Eli (senior):

- Bless you that you will be happy and find joy in accomplishing worthwhile and meaningful tasks

- Bless you to recognize that engaging in worthwhile activities will bring you a sense of added joy

- Recognize missionary and service opportunities as they pop and act upon them

- Bless you to bring the spirit into our home, bless you with safety and bless you with the mental and spiritual capacity you will need to serve those around you

- Bless you to know that through your prayers you will have the ability to communicate with our Father in Heaven and that he will listen to you and guide and help you

- Bless you to be happy and confident this year

-----------------------------------

Tyler (sophomore):

- Bless you to b able to focus and learn this year and to be able to apply yourself in your studies

- Bless you to have the energy you will need to complete your day to day activities

- Bless you to be able to be engaged in seminary and Priest quorum and to feel the spirit as you do so

- Bless you to be a good friend, a good example, bless you to be physically healthy and to be able to participate in sports as you take care of your body

- Bless you that you will be safe and listen to the promptings of the spirit and if the spirit says something is bad that you will stop

- Bless you to be able to bring the spirit into our home and that you will be happy and have a good school year

-----------------------------------

Tyson (sophomore):

- Bless you to be able to see the Lord's hand in your life and the blessings you have

- Bless you to recognize how much Heavenly Father loves you

- Bless you that your confidence in yourself will grow and that you will know that Lord has many things for you to do

- Bless you to know the other youth look up to you and you can be a force for good for those who are struggling

- Be engaged in seminary and your knowledge of the gospel will improve and so will your testimony

- We are so grateful to have you in our family and the ward is so grateful to have you as well

JENSEN FAMILY OLYMPICS!

We started an Olympic Jensen Family Tradition in the summer of 2021 for the 2020 Summer Olympics (that were held a year later due to covid). It was so much fun to get together with all the cousins and do the carrying of the torch, get in teams from the counries the boys served their missions in and compete in little minute to win it games that we did it again this year! Sadly, Emma has her new life in Idaho so Katy came as our replacement Emma. We ended up in 3rd place but that's because Nathan kept telling his mom to take away our points and give it to him - ha ha! Love our Jensen family get togethers! Building cousin relationships is the best!!

HIGH ADVENTURE GIRLS CAMP!

Our ward did a fundraiser for Youth Camp back in March and we raised enough funds that we got to take the girls on a High Adventure Girls Camp! We went up to Flagstaff and stayed at the Ethiers cabin. We hiked the 7 mile super hot hike to "The Crack", went cliff jumping, went to Flagstaff Extreme and went ziplining, rode the coaster at Canyon Coasters and raced on the tube slides, stayed up way to late laughing with the girls and then even later with Emily and Renae in our room, hit up the Snowflake Temple, watched the girls bond and get to know each other better and ate a ton of food! Then we came back and I gave ANOTHER talk in Sacrament and then I was in charge of the combined young men and young women lesson and we talked about Pioneers and learned about the song "Come, Come Ye Saints"! It was a long weekend, but a good weekend! I love the youth!
