PINEWOOD DERBY!

Tyler and Tyson competed in what might be their last Pinewood Derby. They ended up in 3rd and 4th place. This year got away from us so they raced cars we already had. They didn't care - thank heavens. They still totally got into it with their friends and had a blast!

TANNER'S BIRTHDAY PARTY!

Eli got invited to Tanner's 12th birthday party! Had the best time sleeping over and hanging out with all the boys!

5th SEED ASSIGNMENT!

Here we go - we are about to embark on our 5th Seed Assignment. Fingers crossed this goes well! Kids are older so that's easier, but kids all need to go different places at the same time so that's harder! Ready, set, go!

PROTECT AND CARRY!

Before Jared left for Oregon, I wanted to go to the shooting range and shoot. I really would like to carry a gun on myself, but right now I think I am to nervous my kids will get it. So for the time being I think I will try and keep going to the shooting range and figure out what gun makes me the most comfortable! Watch out bad guys - I will bust a cap!

ANNI'S BIRTHDAY IN SAN DIEGO!

Emma got to go to San Diego with Anni, Hoku, Noelle, Breezy and Brintley for Anni's birthday. She spent a few days there and had the best time in their own hotel room, doing their own thing! Girls trips are the best!

WASHINGTON DC LAST DAY!

We woke up and had a big breakfast made by Bill and then we headed out with Robyn, Bill and Ryan and went to the National Air and Space Museum. Emma mostly wanted to see the Enola Gay - mission accomplished! We had a lot of fun there. Enjoyed our time and missed our boys. We went home for a big burger lunch at home and hung out and talked until it was time to go home! The only thing I didn't accomplish was getting to eat at the famous ice cream Richelle always goes to with Robyn so Emma cropped my face into a picture and I pretended and we laughed pretty hard! This trip was amazing. I got to take Emma and Jared to places they have never been. They got to see all this history I love. History is my favorite. Its been fun being back because now when these things pop up on tv Jared always makes a comment about them. I loved being able to spend this alone time with Emma before she leaves us and spreads her wings. She is truly an amazing girl. She fills our cups. We love this girl and can't believe she is about to leave us. So grateful for these memories that will last a lifetime!

NEW YORK CITY!

NEW YORK CITY! We had to get up at 3am to get ready and bless Bill's heart he drove us to the AmTrak station at 4am so we could catch the 5am AmTrak out of DC to get to NY. It was a miserable ride, don't people know we want quiet so we can sleep - ha ha. We got there and headed straight for the Twin Towers memorial. Then we headed over and grabbed a fresh NY bagel - I only got to eat half of it because the damn Seagull swooped down and literally stole the other half out of my hand. Then we headed for the ferry to take us to the Statue of Liberty and then Ellis Island. Then we grabbed some famous NY pizza on Bleecker Street and then hit up the Friends apartment (Emma's one wish and desire - along with half a dozen other teenage girls - ha ha). We hit up NBC building, looked at the Empire State building, Rockefeller Center, FAO Schwartz, took a pedicab around Central Park, ate some amazing NY Chinese food, Carlos Bake Shop and made it back to Central Station before the giant rain storm!
