The kiddos had lots of fun bringing her treats but the fun was really for them. Grandma Jensen ended up serving them fresh squeezed orange juice, homemade chocolate milk, pop tarts, scrambled eggs, cheese (per Eli's request) and of course some good grandma lovin'. Next they went on to Great Grandma Mason's house to surprise her.
She was delighted to see them as well but sorry she didn't know they were coming because she didn't get a chance to go to the store to get some treats to give them so instead she gave them each a dollar :) Finally it was on to Great Grandma Joyce's house.
Another treat for the kiddos there as well. Grandma stuffed them with chocolates, m & m's, cookies and even tried making them roast beef sandwiches and chicken strips but they had to get going. They sure did LOVE visiting their grandmas and giving them treats, hugs and loves. Later that afternoon Grandpa Rodgers came over bearing gifts from him and Grandma Rodgers, more treat bags and money (man its nice to be a kid) and he stayed to babysit all the kids while we went to dinner with the Votaws. It was a very last minute decision to go out on Valentines day (something we haven't done since we have been married, we usually celebrate a different night so we don't have to wait hours at a restaurant).
We got reservations at El Rico's for 4pm (we showed up when all the older people showed up) and had a dang fun time. We loved laughing hysterically at everything from El Rico's trying to be fancy pants, to the waiters who came right out and told us they have never done "full service" before and to all the funny one liners our waiter was saying that he didn't know we were laughing at like "and then when I tried the Carne Asada, I was like whoa!" or "we aren't letting people get boxes tonight or else they might order an extra Carne Asada just to take home" (like we did and stuffed in tin foil and laughed about it all night). 2 hours and 45 minutes later we were done eating our scrumtrelescent meal and headed home (when all the people our age were showing up to eat).

Thanks, again, Carol, Jared, Emma, and Eli for such a nice surprise with the cookies and visit on Valentine's Day! I loved having you come over and visit me. I actually like the pic you took, too, Jared--it would have been better if I hadn't had a bad hair day!--It's time for Jenn to cut it! Glad to hear you two got out for dinner on Valentine's Day too, thanks to Grandpa Rodgers! :)
how nice of you to take cookies around! :) i'm sure they all loved it! and how nice you guys got to go out to dinner. i have a husband who has no memory :/ not even a card i recieved..well i take that back.. after he saw bry and my card to him he hurried and printed one of the comp..totally doesn't count though..i need to make him take notes!
What a fun Valentine's Day! I'm sure the Grandmas loved seeing their cute little faces... hope Emma wasn't too exhausted from the sleepover! Maddy had so much fun... thanks for helping keep it a surprise... Emma was so cute the whole night.
What about Grandma Rodgers? How sad.
