When your cousin says she has a layover in AZ so she wants to hang out - leaves out the part that her flight doesn't get in until 11pm - you do what any cousin would do...pick her up, get a sonic drink, visit your 93 year old grandma from midnight until 2:30am, go home and hang out and then at 4am decide to head down to the church to set up for mutual only to find out that you can't get in until 6am! in an hour and a half she will be back in the air and I will have been up for 24 hours straight with no signs of going to bed anytime soon because of kids school, watching my niece, my bathroom project, mutual driving kids around, etc. If you find me passed out somewhere today - just know I am sleeping peacefully after my amazing 6 hours with my long lost cousin!
It really was the best way to spend 24 hours with no sleep. The day wasn't so bad on no sleep, but the next day was brutal - pretty sure I was hit by a freight train. But I would do it all over again! Grandma was the cutest and bought us a box of chocolates, got out fruit for us to nibble on and never wanted us to leave. She has the best stories!! We love grandma!
