FRIDAY!

Our last full day on the ship. It's bittersweet really. We have been missing our kids and couldn't wait to get back and squeeze them but we weren't really done with our vacation either. It has been way to relaxing and we aren't ready to go back and face the real world full of work, carpooling, dirty diapers, making our own food, etc.

We started out the morning with our final workout. Headed over to breakfast and then we went and watched a cooking show put on by the head chef and took a tour of the Galley. The Galley was huge but it would have been more fun to be there during dinner time and watching everyone run around crazy.We got a fact sheet filled with how much food they have to bring aboard for a 7 day cruise. Here were some of the things:
- 13,250 pounds of poultry
- 400 gallons of dressings
- 44,850 pounds of fresh fruits (they had the best tasting melon I have ever had in my life, soft, juicy, to die for, I hate melon here in AZ)
- 21,850 gallons of ice cream
- 15,600 pounds of beef
- 9,576 pounds of butter
- 57,000 eggs
making everything a grand total of about 130 - 140 tons of food per cruise.After that we headed up for our last time to lay out in the sun, read our books and eat the yummy hot dogs in homemade buns, drink our last milk shake, eat our last ice cream cones - you get the idea - we pigged out.That night we went and ate one last time at our favorite restaurant and made reservations this time so we could have a table for 2 by the window. We took our time and ate the bread on the table, our appetizer, salad, main course and 2 yes, 2 desserts! Let's just say we enjoyed ourselves.
We went to see the Farewell show by Steve Moris and then went out to go watch the Pop Star finale, got bored with the boring singers and headed back to our room for our last night alone.
