Emma's UVU Espirit team made a professional music video. Some company saw their dance from last year and wanted to make it into a whole video. They did it for several weeks and then had an end of the semester viewing party! Such fun memories being made! So glad she got to be apart of it!
I have snapchat to snap Emma and Richelle and here is what Emma posted last night! She was obviously alerted that I took a screenshot of it and quickly text me to make sure I promised not to get mad at Eli. Of course, I won't get mad at Eli - I love that they text each other!
Tonight was the annual gingerbread house decorating contest with Nate's family. Tyson said, "guys, watch out I'm Emma this year!" meaning he was in charge and being very particular! It was working until the end when he threw a bunch of frosting on the cardboard and it looked like the frosting tubes threw up! This year, Jenn's family seems to be winning the most votes - we kind of started losing once Emma went to college, dang it! Afterwards we did our traditional hop on Jared's back picture - it's been going strong since 2014! This year I heard "oh I'm going to puke, it's squishing my stomach" "I can feel his balls smashed up against my back!" or just Tyson letting out like 4 little toots in a row! It's getting harder and harder to do it, but that makes it funnier and funnier!
My birthday was an excellent one! I did what I want to do every year...finish Christmas shopping with Jared by my side without eye rolling, sighing, asking to go home and take a nap, etc. He does it pretty good every year but this year was exceptionally good! We went and got breakfast in the morning, finished all my errands, I added in lunch, dessert, more errands, a movie, picking up dinner and then finally getting home between 9:30pm - 10pm to find Eli had taken over the house with a dozen of his friends inside. They all wished me a happy birthday and then we made them snacks and let them be and then when they all left we all started cleaning the house just after midnight. It was a long day, but the best day ever!! I loved that Jared didn't have to work to spent the whole day with me and I loved ending it with people over here that my kids love! Happy 44th to me!!
This year was the Rodgers Thanksgiving year. We had it at our house! It was fun to pull out Grandma Joyce's chargers and plates and set a "fancy" table. I did end up ordering gold silverware to match - ya I don't regret it one bit! It was the first time in a long time that all of the Rodgers were together! The only ones missing were Dalton's girls. The day before Thanksgiving the twins went and had a turkey bowl game at Ridge's house. Then Tyler text me he didn't feel well and I needed to come get him - I knew it was serious if he was leaving his friends. So we called the IV lady and she came out and gave all the boys IVs so that no one would be sick over the Holiday weekend. Emma and I had just gotten our own a couple days earlier. After dinner we dressed Eli up in Grandma Jensen's turkey costume and he ran around the yard and the little kids chased him for candy - it was the best! We also took the boys to the grocery store for our new tradition (the last 3 years) of Fill A Bag Feed A Family. The boys said "let's see how long we go until mom rages!" Well jokes on them I didn't rage this year! Ha! We love spending time with family and kicking off the start of the Christmas season!

A trip up to visit Emma in Utah. Emma carving pumpkins with the Entrekins. The twins going on early morning Temple trips with the halls. Going to some Perry football games and running into Cody and Aften. The twins entertaining themselves and Eli's baseball games. Eli, Brady and Jake riding up on us coming home like they part of Hells Angels. Emma and her new bangs. My freaking cute Halloween charcuterie board! Eli being apart of NHS at school even though he hates it, but I made him, hoping it would help for college!
