MY SMART MAN!

This is my man! Sometimes I think he is the smartest man alive! Like last week for example, he broke my Ray-Bans so last night he got the new lenses he ordered and they didn't work. Tonight he comes home and said they replied back and told him he had the lens upside down! We both rolled our eyes at the mere thought of them thinking my engineer husband would be so dumb as to do it upside down! This is him realizing tonight - they were upside down! Ray-ban 1 - Jared 0!

also - Tyson had a long day at school today and came home and flopped on my bed - sometimes being so cute and being in 6th grade is just exhausting!

RUNNING CLUB FINALE!

I did running club with Emma her kindergarten year (she thought it would be cool cause it had the word club in it - she regretted her decision, but I  made her finish it that year) and then Tyson did it every year in elementary school - Tyler and Eli joined him some of those years. Tyson was sad to see it come to an end - I was too. He did great this year and even placed one of the races. He is quite the dedicated little runner. We love him. I can't decide if I will miss the running club pick ups, going to the races and helping out....only time will tell. Great job Tyson for running all 7 years - you are an inspiration to us all!

CHEER NATIONALS!

It has been a long emotional weekend and end of Emmersons cheer and dance career. We have been watching her do her thing on stage for 12 years! Things for sure did not go how we expected them to go this weekend. 5 man ended up #6 at nationals and Varsity ended up #4. Before awards Emma said, "no matter waht happens I can say I would be happy to end my cheer career on those routines!" Both should have moed on to finals! Varsity had the highest raw score of anyone but because USA  Nationals made mistakes they got screwed big time. They had 6 different occasions this year to tell us we did an illegal move, they overlapped our schedule and promised us we would be fine, they didn't allow us our full warm up time and didn't watch us as they should to catch our illegal move like they caught other school who legit said they copied our move. As we left heartbroken and very upset it felt good knowing TSC, AIA, other schools, etc were fighting with us. WE spent the rest of the day trying to cheer up at Disneyland. That night USA posted us  online as being a finalist, gave us a warm up time, performance time and had us listed on TV as performing. We were so excited thinking they were correcting their mistake - because they had done what they were supposed to do we wouldn't have lost due to a legality and we would have been going into finals as #1. Well after waiting around all morning...they had mae another mistake and posted us every where but took it away again. Now how we wanted to end things. But these girls looked amazing out there! It was hard to hug Emma after each awards while she cried uncontrollably knowing that was the end. It's hard to say goodbye to something you love so much. I will miss seeing her face light up the stage and doing what she loves. i will miss sitting at the competitions with the music so loud I can't think. I won't miss the bobby pins all over everything or as Emma says, "a ponytail higher than her hopes and dreams". These sports have helped shape her into the young lady she is. I will forever be grateful to dance and cheer for that! It has kept her busy, healthy, focused & driven. We love you my girl!! #perryisnumber1 #myfavcheerleader #myfavdancer

ps - Jared and I decided to go to Nationals last minute, at first I wanted to save the money, but then I thought I will never get this time back so I had to be there. We were going to save money and not go to Disneyland, but Stinnett hooked us up with extra tickets and we got in for free! Blessed!
