POM AND CHEER BANQUET!

The cheer banquet was so nice! The girls all looked so great! I love watching Emma be so happy. She earned the freshman most improved award - at first I was a little butt hurt over it cause it sounds like she stinks, but the coach explained it was because she started out as a base and then a girl quit and a girl got hurt she had to become a flyer and she was amazing! She really was too! She was always getting compliments because she was so confident up there and not shaky! Flying grew her love for this sport! Her coach - Coach Asay - has become like another mom to her and has been her biggest fan. She helps her when she can and always has her back. This year was crazy and she was there every step of the way! Emma has given up on our her goal of becoming a pommie - she just wants to cheer - she has found her niche

TOUGH MUDDERS!

Tough Mudders right here! Harder than I thought! More fun than I thought! Thirstier than I thought! But sign me up again!

I may have limped the rest of the day after my knees got slammed several times into muddy hills, etc, but it was an amazing experience. Every time we showed up to an obstacle I thought how in the heck am I going to be able to do that, but with determination and your team and strangers you are able to accomplish these seemingly un-achievable things! It was so empowering. I must have asked Jared 20 times that day - "aren't you so proud of me!?" Next time instead of the half - I am going for the full! Balls to the walls baby!

EMMA AND BIANCA!

We have been looking for the perfect jeep to buy for Emma to drive when she turns 16, but I wanted to buy it early because I do a lot of driving around and I don't need to put all the miles on the Armada so we thought buying it early would be great to put the miles on. We finally found the one I wanted - white jeep and black top! After we get it new tires, new fluids and built the paver driveway on the side of her house - it cost us more than we wanted to spend, but we are quite happy with it! Jared thought it would be awesome for her to learn how to drive on the car she would be driving - "empowering" for her is the word he used. Bianca (as named by Emma - which is white in spanish, but made it a girl's name) is a stick shift! I think she should learn how to drive first and then learn stick, but Jared had other ideas. We went to the church parking lot and the boys played ball while Jared taught her all the mechanics of a stick shift - stuff I don't even need to know - stuff no one needs to know - but he taught her because that's what he does! She never got to actually use the gas the first time, but me and the boys got to push it from behind so she could learn how to break. Well she slammed the breaks so hard cause she has no idea how to brake that all of our heads slammed into the back of the jeep! It was hilarious! This is gonna be a stressful thing! Heaven help us all!

SORRY FUTURE WIVES!

Tonight as Jared was cutting all the hair out of the bottom of the vacuum to clean out the brush the boys were watching him and were totally disgusted!

Tyson asked, "is that gross?"

Jared: "ya"

Tyson: "will I have to do that when I am married?"

Jared: "yep!"

Tyler: "I don't was think your mom will do it" (he meant wife)

Tyson: "gross!"....."wait! I won't have to you will cause we are living together!"

Tyler: "oh ya!"

Then they went down the hall towards their bedroom playing rock, paper, scissors to see who would get stuck cleaning the vacuum!

SPRING BREAK!

We didn't get to go anywhere for spring break this year - it was to hard with trek, dance and cheer. But we did go to Fat Cats and watch Beauty and the Beast - the kids thought they were so cool in the recliner chairs, ordering food, having it delivered to them and watching the movie. The kids went to the Halls one day and played and the boys all had a cookie and lemonade sale and came home with a couple of bucks a piece - little entrepreneurs.  And of course we had sports in there too - love how it exhausts them - actually by them - I mean Eli and Tyson, Tyler never sleeps in the car, he is a mini me! My dad and Ren Pope went up to their mission reunion!  Eli had what hopefully is not his last soccer season. Coach Steve James decided to finally put his son into club soccer so he won't be coaching anymore. Eli LOVES soccer, but unless you are on club, its to hard to find a good competitive team to plan on otherwise. He was a star and a real go getter. The coach LOVED him and so did his team, he turns into a beast on the soccer field. I hope to get to see him and his little deteremined face race up and down the field while his cheeks shake cause he is running so fast and he jukes the players out and jacks the ball from them all while calling out to his team mates what to do! I love him.

ALYZA!

Alyza is our 5th child! We started out watching her just a couple of days a week for a couple of hours and then for a year we didn't have her at all. Then we took her full time while her parents worked. She comes with us to doctor appts, errands, preschool, I joined a playgroup for her and she even comes to our family pictures with us! The kids miss her when she isn't here and treat her like a sibling. She is just their cousin, but some days she might as well be the 5th Jensen!

TWINS MOWED THE LAWN!

Having 3 boys has finally paid off! The twins mowed the lawn for the first time today! One of them might not have been strong enough to start the mower by himself, but when the other two were doing laughing - they helped him and both boys took a turn at mowing the lawn!
