EASTER!

Easter was awesome as usual and busy as usual - filled with the regular fun family traditions and sports crammed in the mix!

Thursday night - no one had any activities (except for the twins baseball practice) - so I thought it would be a good idea to take the kids to see the Temple Easter Pageant! Emma had been when she was a lot younger, but the boys have never gone. Emma and I went and saved seats and then the boys met up with us shortly after. We ate Jimmy Johns and then Jared stayed in our seats and me and the kids walked to DQ for a treat. Then after we ate them we walked around the temple grounds because the boys wanted to see all the actors and animals. They loved the pageant and it started our Easter Weekend off on the right foot!

Friday night we went to Reginas house for dinner, but the boys had their first baseball game so after they ate they had to leave. When they left, Eli came from football and then he was the only Jensen there hunting for eggs. Emma was gone at Anni Halls house because the two of them decided to throw a party for their friends! After Eli was done hunting for eggs, we raced over to the boys baseball game and watched them play!

Saturday morning as I was heading out to go running, I got a call from Coach Steve begging for Eli to fill in on a 3v3 Arsenal Tournament for a boy who was sick. So I went back home and Eli wanted to do it. We got him ready and raced over to the tournament, he played in one game and then we left and headed for his football game. After the football game 5 of us left and headed to Nathan's house for lunch, swimming and Easter egg hunting and Eli chose to go back to the soccer tournament for 2 more games! Emma and I left Nathan's early because she had rehearsals at the studio, so I ran her out there and ran back to catch Eli's last game. Then that night we went to our new ward's Glow in the dark Easter egg hunt! The boys had a blast - Emma was to cool to come - or to tired! Then after that, we dropped the boys off at home with Emma and Jared and I headed to Stacia's house to hang out.

Sunday morning, the boys woke up super early and checked out what the Easter bunny brought them, we got dressed up and headed to church and then came home and discovered the bunny had hidden eggs for us to find. Then we chilled for a bit and headed to Grandma and Grandpa Rodgers house to dye eggs, have dinner and then watched Hop outside! It was a busy weekend, but any weekend filled with lots of family time is a good weekend!

ZOO TRIP!

I hate the Phoenix Zoo - its freaking expensive and you never see any animals and quite frankly it is the Oregon Zoo's fault that I feel this way - I have been spoiled by going to that beautiful zoo on a regular basis and only paying $2 Tuesday prices! Well Stephanie wanted to take her kids so I decided we better hop on that - so at least my kids can say they have been - ha ha. We went on St. Patrick's Day and the kids loved getting dressed up in green. Tyler would not walk to another animal until he checked his map over and over again - he had to make sure we were going to the right direction each time and had to make sure we were going to see the baboon monkeys from some reason! The zoo pleasantly surprised me and the weather wasn't bad and we saw all the animals - it was a perfect day! We ended the zoo trip and went to dinner with Jared after football practice and then hit up Chick-fil-a for green ice cream cones! Happy St. Patricks Day!

ROCKY POINT!

Stacia and Liz finally convinced us to go to Rocky Point with them for spring break. I have always wanted to venture down there, but always apprehensive because of all the scary stories you hear. We drove down on Thursday and came home on Monday. It was the best. I love me some beach time. The kids all had tons of fun and loved every minute of it. We went into town and ate Mexican food, got ice cream, layed on the beach, built castles, played king of the mountain, played cards, watched movies, played corn hole, played baseball, football, frisbee, ate mangos every day, got hit by a car right before we got to the condo, but the guy showed back up the next day and buffed it all out, rode jet skis, boogie boarded, walked all over the coral and looked for creatures, Emma got her hair braided because that's what you do when your there even though your mom can do it for free - ha ha, Emma got to bring her bestie Maddie for her birthday present in lieu of a party, we had a super amazing Sacrament on the beach, The Gilmores were in charge of it, we had opening and closing song and prayers, blessed and passed the Sacrament, had a quick lesson and then testimony meeting - it was very spiritual and experience to never be forgotten.
