GRANDPA'S 80TH BIRTHDAY!

 With Grandpa turning 80 we all decided it should be a big family party and Ashley even came into town for it. Mom planned the menu, we had it at our house, I made most of the dinner and dessert, Caryn and Ashley did the games and pictures and Jennifer made the shirts! The boys really wanted to go to their traditional Superbowl party, but I promised them if they kept their phones away and played games good I would let them leave by halftime! We all had fun eating together, playing games, guessing how old Grandpa was in each picture and how much things cost in 1945.  My favorite part was knowing I would win the best gift award - not that it was a competition or that there was an award, but I knew I had it! A year or so ago my dad got emotional and asked to have a picture of his parents and Steve edited so Steve was out of the picture and it was my dad instead. He never met his dad and always wanted a picture of them together...my mom being my mom thought that was crazy because it never existed so why would you want to create someting that didn't happen. So he let it go. Well...I got someone to create it for me! He cried! It was the best! He has also been bugging me and Randi to scan all the letters that Grandma Joyce and Grandpa Tuffy wrote to each other...Randi never did it, I finally borrowed them from her and I sat on them for several months as well not doing them because I knew as soon as I started it, I wouldn't quit till it was done. Well finally it was the weekend of his birthday so I just buckled down and did it....like 18 hours later it was done. It was worth it. Now the pics are scanned forever! 

TYSON OUR LITTLE GROWN-UP!

 This is the text conversation between me and Tyson today...I laughed so hard at this and then I had to call Jared and we laughed, then Bishop called me right then so then we laughed and now I am blogging it because I love him so much and I want to remember this:

16 year old sophomore:

Tyson: Mother I'm growing up and with growing up comes a price of $109.99 for a gold manscape lawn mower 5.0 ultra

Me: Huh?! I don't even know what that is?

Tyson:

Me: Ball hairs!!

Tyson: Gold edition though :)

Me: (and now I am just going to mess with him) Just borrow dad's platinum edition!!

Tyson: mom are you psycho u dont share

Me: dad can show you how to use it if you want! Sometimes he creates designs in his hair

Tyson: (insert grossed out face emoji)

Me: Tyson Steven who is looking at your ball hairs?! No one! Or it better not be anyone!! I'll get you one for a wedding gift! ;)

Tyson: I like to be fresh

but sadly I got distracted by my phone call with Bishop so the convo just ended.....love this kid!! 

JANUARY SHENANIGANS!

 Jared turned 49! The twins go to the Temple Tuesday mornings with Connor before school, Eli goes with Seth and whoever else Thursday mornings before school! Eli picked up a 2 day side job for the walkers milking their goats and feeding their chickens! We did our first Laurel and Priest lunch of 2025 and had over 25 kids here - granted several of them were the boys friends that came after Jackson's farewell. Eli, Jake and Jackson have hung out a lot this month trying to make the most of their time with Jackson before he leaves! We have done several pizza oven nights! Tyler and Tyson did the buzz and bleach thing again! And our month has been filled with basketball and baseball! 

MORP!

 Well all 3 boys were going to go to Morp, but at the last minute Brasser's date couldn't go and Eli didn't really know his date so they both mutually canceled - which worked out nicely because then Eli, Jake and Jackson hung out! 2 weeks ago Tyson want on his group date with Graham, Rigden and Nash because their girls couldn't go the next week. Then last week Tyler went on his group date with Mikey, Ammon, Tyce, Talon and everyone else. Sadly the group was so big and the girls were all busy at different times so they didn't get one giant picture, but I am loving this group! Tyler did such a good job trying to talk to Wrigley even though all she did was giggle at everything. Tyson did a good job trying to be a polite boy, but his date nevahlyn got angry about something that no one knows and quit talking to him, so he lived his best lift on the dance floor! The MORP theme was "Rhyme without a Reason". Tysons theme was "Under Arrest and Wild West" and Tyler's was "NFL and Belle". It was fun to hear what everyone's different rhymnes were! The boys had the best time and Tyson came home asking when the next dance was cause he was all pumped to go! They even ran into Brylee at their school dance! 

SOPHOMORE BASKETBALL!

 The twins are still going great at basketball. Tyson hasn't been playing with very much confidence so we met with Coach Nuttall and he talked with us and Tyson for a little over an hour about his confidence, about his "can do" list, etc and ever since Tyson has been playing more confidently. I don't want to jinx the boys but they are currently the starters on their team. Jared and I are loving going to their games, then we stay for all 3 games, help score the game, help keep the shot clock, etc. I love these boy so much and all their basketball buddies - such good kids!!! 

BATHROOM MAKEOVER...AGAIN!

 I really loved the color of the twins bathroom when I redid....it's a beautiful blue color in natural light. As soon as you turn on the lights in there it gives it a purple hue....I couldn't unsee it and no one was complimenting me....so I repainted it....again! This time I'm really done!
