It was another jammed packed full of fun Easter Weekend! Thursday night we had all of my family over for dinner and a glow in the dark Easter Egg hunt! All the Rodgers grandkids loved it! Friday morning the kids had school off and I headed off to the stake YW/YM softball tournament. Eli was really bummed he had a game later that day because he really wanted to go, but he didn't want to mess up his swing, swinging at crap all day so he skipped it even though the ward was super bummed they didn't have him. I showed up part way through the game and we had kids without gloves, we were losing, there was no effort on our part. So I made sure we turned it around. Before the next game started I had gloves for everyone (thanks Jared for bringing some down), Bishop put together a batting line up and I paid some really tall high school boys to join our ward - kids will do anything for cash - we went on to win the next 3 games - our ward was loving it!! Eli had a baseball game and they won! That night all of our kids disappeared, but Jared and I still went to the Bell/Jolley Glow in the dark Easter Egg hunt anyways - I wanted to see my Chandler friends. Saturday all the Jensens came over for a big lunch, Easter egg hunt, games, etc. Tyler had a poky wire and we even got Dr Hunsaker to make a house call and swing by and cut his wire for him - what a difference it made, we went from being all quiet to Mr Talkative. Sunday morning we went to church and then the boys had their Easter Egg hunt from the Bunny. This year they figured out the Bunny hides all cash so they were scrambling to get as many eggs as they could! Then we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Rodgers house to eat dinner over there! We were so grateful for Bryant and Taryn for inviting Emma over to their house for Easter dinner so she wouldn't be alone - she actually got invited to Ashley's house too. Eternally grateful for family who take care of our kids when they are far from us!

ALAQC 8th GRADE BASKETBALL
The twins tried out for the school basketball team again and luckily they made it! They were bummed out that they made the "7th"grade team and not the "8th" grade team, but the coach pretty much said it was split up by those who hit puberty already and those who hadn't - ha ha! Most of their other friends, sadly only made "red shirts" so they only get to practice with the team, so at least the twins will get to practice and play in games! They had new coaches this year and the boys loved them! They are GREAT coaches! Jared and I had to learn how to do the scoreboard and scorebook for home games - it was pretty stressful and we couldn't cheer or take pics of the boys, but at least we could at away games! The boys did great this year and are learning so much! So proud of these cute little ballers wearing old Varisty uniforms that are way to big on them - ha ha!
PRE-SURGERY GET-AWAY!
I decided Jared and I needed a little overnight get-away before his surgery. We needed some alone husband and wife time since there won't be any nookie after surgery. Since we were in the middle of baseball season and jr high basketball season there really was no time to get away. By some miracle We found a random Tuesday night that would work with our schedules but we couldn't find a sitter to stay with the boys. I called Jenn Jensen to get her nieces numbers and she said, just let me do it! So she drove out here at night after our boys did whatever they had going on after school, picked them up and then took them to school in the morning for us...which is a big deal since she needs to take her own kids to school too! Jared and I just booked a hotel in Scottsdale and went up for the day to lay by the pool, nap, eat some yummy food, we went to a musuem in Scottsdale, went out at night, nookied a few times, slept in, went to breakfast and made it home in time to make it to the boys games and everything after school! We had the best time!

JENSEN HIKES!
This month while the weather has been nice, we have been meeting up with Nate and Jenn's family and taking some nice Sunday hikes! It's been good to get out and get some fresh air and spend time with cousins!
SUNDAY HIKES!
We spent a couple Sundays this month hiking with Nathan's family. It was good to get out of the house, get some fresh air and spend some times with the cousins. This is our last month of hiking because next month Jared will have surgery. Family time on Sunday is the best time!

CANCER ANNOUNCEMENT!
The letter we sent our families after we sat down with the kids and told them about Jared. Emma cried and wanted to come home from school and be here and help, we told her that she can help us by finishing the semester strong and staying in Utah and not doing things to cause us to stress. Eli cried and walked away from us several times. I am not sure he knew what to do. He texted his baseball coaches. He didn't find jokes funny. He took it VERY seriously and was very stressed out. The twins I don't believe understood the full gravity of everything. When Jared asked them if they knew what the prostate was they asked if it was his balls. Jared said no. Then they asked if it was his "holder" - we had a good laugh about that one. They never cried. They made a couple of jokes with us and then realized how serious it was, but we were grateful they weren't stressed about it. We timed telling the kids just right so that Emma was home with us, we didn't want to ruin her birthday with it, but we wanted them told early enough that it gave her a chance to stew on it and be fully confident when she left to go back to Utah that everything would be ok!
