CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES!

December is my favorite because we get to spend all the time together as a family having fun and creating mems (as the kids say)! This year was no different...we wrote our letters to Santa and dropped them off at his mailbox inside Macy's Department store, we did our traditional Christmas Eve service project and this year we did it for the Salvation Army and we wrapped gifts at the mall, Eli went with Jake and Braxten to the Salvation Army and did a service project for them with the Jolleys, we went to Downtown Gilbert and did the Giving Machine and we went with RJ and Alyza and Dalton and her girls and did a hay ride looking at Christmas lights and then we also took the twins and all their friends! Love my people and this time of year!

ELI'S CAKE FROM SCRATCH!

Eli, Jake, Jackson and Braxten decided while they were at Braxten's house that they needed some cake. So they decided to look up how to make one from scratch and that's what they did. They even made the frosting from scratch, but it didn't make very much at first so they went back and added more ingredients to it! They documented the whole thing AND IT EVEN TASTED GOOD!! These boys are hilarious!

RANDOM DECEMBER HAPPENINGS!

We went to the Bells Chritmas party, my friends set up a birthday lunch for me and I was so embarrassed by how much they spoiled me...I went home with so many goodies!! Jared escorted Jake and Eli on their Spanish field trip. They went to downtown Phoenix to look at art and then ended up at a Mexican grocery store and ate lunch there! The twins went to Top Golf with their friends and stopped by to visit Mikey on his birthday and our whole family went to the Varvels Chili Chritsmas party!

ANNUAL JENSEN GINGERBREAD DECORATING!

I can't say gingerbread house decorating this year since we mixed it up and did gingerbread people! It was pretty nice since no one was fighting - ha ha! And then of course we did our annual pile on top of Jared's back pic too! Love our Christmas traditions!

POISON IVY!

Tyson learned a hard painful lesson! NEVER play 007 up at the cabin unless you are FULLY clothed from head to toe. While you are out there running around and falling you may find yourself on top of some poison ivy! The doctor didn't say much about it and gave him a lame cream, but it kept getting worse so I finally texted Dr Anthony Willyerd and he sent the pics to his dermatologist friends and they called it poison ivy and gave us the perfect cream and it healed up and went away!

TYSON TEACHES ENGLISH!

Here is the email I got from Tyson's english teacher in 7th grade part 2 at ALAQC:

Carol,

I wanted to tell you that Tyson asked to teach my class today and so I let him take over because I told him that I was so tired and needed a nap.  It was so funny because our class is super loud and it takes me multiple times (11 times yesterday) asking them to stop talking for them to be quiet.  Today Tyson walked into the classroom and counted down 3,2,1 and the entire class was silent instantly. He began teaching and I lost it...I could not believe that in an instant they were silent for him but for me they are out of control. He ended up giving the spelling test and teaching for 1/2 the class.  He was a natural.  It was fun to watch him up there. The students loved it and I think he did too.  Just wanted to let you know.  Hope you have a good day!

Oh my gosh!!  I’m dying!!

First - when I first read this I thought - oh hell what did my kid do now, ha ha!  but then I was pleasantly surprised!

Second - I love this so much!! As soon as I got a chance to talk to Tyson today it’s the first thing he mentioned! He seemed quite proud of himself!

This is the best and thank you for sharing it with me ❤️❤️ It’s going in our family journal so he can remember it!

Thank you for everything!!
Carol

You are so welcome! It was actually super fun to see him in that leadership role.  He was very calm throughout the class and was able to grab all of the students' attention in such a positive way.  I was very impressed with him. I am happy to hear that he mentioned it to you and that he was proud; he should be. He was very responsible and respectful about the whole thing. I've said it before and I will say it again...you have great boys! Thanks
