Christmas season this year was filled with some usual traditions, some craziness with the unexpected purchase of a new home and getting ready to sell our current home, not having Emma at home for the whole month, busy working, etc....but it was still magical none the less. We did our Jensen Gingerbread house decorating contest, wrote our letters to Santa, did something new and tried the World of Illumination with the jeep top off - kids loved it and want to go back next year, the Szymanski Christmas light scavenger hunt but not the Jensen/Bell/Jolley one because they all ended up with covid, went on a hike and learned how to play pickleball! The kids got lucky this year and everyone got what they wanted from Santa - they must have been good children. Then for New Years Eve we went to the Parrys and Jared and Blake fell asleep, the twins hung out with the girls, Maddie and Emma hung out and Eli went and partied at the Olsons. New Years day we had all of my family over for pizzas in the pizza oven and a hang out! It was a whirlwind 2 weeks, but we loved it!!

MY BIRTHDAY!
Like every birthday - I like to make Jared take the day off of work and spend it with - running whatever errands I need to run - without an eye roll or a loud sigh - it's kind of my favorite day of the year! This year we did just that and then we went to dinner together at Rusty Taco. Emma posted pics on snapchat about me and I have to say - it may have been my favorite gift! And the boys wrote me letters!

BEST TEXTS EVER!
Today I got two of the best texts ever. One was hilarious. It made me laugh so hard and I shared it with Jennifer and she was just as happy that these two idiots are our girls and love each other so much! The other text was in response to me sending her a message that 2 years ago today she was cheering at the Perry State Football game that I made sure happened!
SPELLING BEE CHAMP!
And the winer of the San Tan Jr High Spelling Bee is....ok I mean....the second place Spelling Bee Champ of JR High is Eli!! Super proud of this kiddo for coming in 2nd place for his school - especially since he almost lost on purpose just so he wouldn't have to do this! Punk!
