My phone broke this year and I had to replace it. I lost some pictures, but here is what I have left and so I am just doing a big photo dump! Mostly, because today's actual date is August 30, 2023 and all these pics are from 2019 - but they obviously meant something to me or I wouldn't have saved them! Zoo trips, cute text messages, flag football games, summer camps, friday night football games at Perry, hanging out with friends, swim meets, kyaking with the scouts in a leaders backyard, etc

MOONLIGHT KAYAKING!
Eli has some pretty cool Deacons leaders and this week Brother Justin Owens planned for them to do a late night under the moon light kayaking trip down the river. Eli was nervous to go thinking it was going to be white water rapids, on the way there Jared explained it's only the Salt River and no rapids what so ever! His nervousness then turned to excitement! We dropped him off at 4:45pm and then this kid comes strolling in the door at 11:30pm! He had a great time with his friends. He said his feet hurt when they got out for dinner and I asked him how that was possible when he had water shoes, but then he says he just doesnt know how but when his kayak flipped over and he got knocked in the water the shoes magically disappeared...I guess they disappear when they aren't on your actual feet!! Oh Eli. Did I mention he also came home with out a swimsuit and swim shirt?! This kid! He'll learn. I don't even care about the loss of the items, I am just glad he was able to spend time with church friends since he always seems to miss out on mutual. Love these bonding and memory making moments!

DONUTS FOR DUDES AND DIVAS!
It was my last Donuts for Dudes and Divas! At the beginning of every school year Haley invites all the kids and their families to school for donuts. We have been doing this for 7 years. I am sad our donut run has ended. I will miss being with my kiddos at school. Tyson thinks he is to cool for me - so he won't let me kiss him goodbye - I do it anyways to spite him cause he is so cute! Tyler lets me, so I play it cool like it's no biggie. Eli tagged along with us this year and we held hands on the way out to our car - good thing we were at Haley and not San Tan Jr High, cause that never would have happened. Love me my boys!

WHERE'S WALDO MUTUAL!
The laurel's planned a Where's Waldo mutual activity, but then they all got released (Emma, Noelle, Addi, Emma M) so it kind of fell apart and then the leaders took over. Hope had scriptures with clues as to where inside Walmart your hidden figure might be hiding. It was fun to sit there and watch the girls run around trying to find all the people. Jac Bishop and I partnered up as old women - meet Carol (already an old person name so no need to change it) and Edee! We were yelling at each other in the shoe department in old lady accents (didn't know that was a thing, but we made it a thing) while I hobbled around with Grandma Joyce's cane and she rode an electric shopping cart thing. I guess we had done such a good job at our acting that one of the men there from our ward thought we were a bunch of African American old ladies yelling at each other - ha ha!

CABIN TRIP!
It was time for another Boys only cabin trip in August! The twins really look forward to this a lot. Eli was stressed about missing school, but it didn't seem fair to make the twins lose a day and Jared had a lot to do around here since he had just gotten home from Oregon so we found a perfect solution! Nathan took the twins up to the cabin Thursday after school and then Friday after school Jared and Eli headed up to the cabin. Friday night Tatum came over and spent the night with Emma and then she left and Emma had Cheer's black dress pictures and then when she was done we turned it into a mommy/daughter night...complete with chick flicks, dutch bros, crumbl cookies, dinner, etc....we also rolled into Sunday after church too. The boys had the best time at the cabin! Getting dirty, cliff jumping, playing card games, late night outside games of laser tag, quad and razor rides, catching lizzards and crawdads, jumping on the trampoline, spraying each other with the power washer, texting good night weird pictures to each other, etc. It's always good to escape the heat and be all boy for a bit and everything that comes with it!

MULTI-STAKE LAUREL AND PRIESTS ACTIVITY!
Emma NEVER gets to go to mutual, because she either has work or cheer or dance. What are the odds that the one time she has nothing they do a multi-stake laurel and priest activity and its ice skating. So she went and had the best time with her friends! LOVE IT!
