HEY SCHLUNK-O-PUNK!

OK pardon the girlie pajamas that Elias is wearing but we were in the bay area and didn't pack for cold nights - oops :)

Elias devoured his first plum! He ate it until all that was left was the seed/pit/core (whatever it is called) and we had to finger swipe that out of his mouth. After that was out he took a piece of the skin that was left in his mouth and threw it firmly on the ground and gave us the look of "give me another one now please"!

MAKING MAGICAL JAM

Emma always thought that Aunt Jeanne was so magical because she makes the best sour plum jam in the world! So last week when we were at her house Emma, Abby, Sidney and Aunt Jeanne made jam! Emma couldn't wait to get home and give her dad her big surprise - a fresh bottle of homemade jam!

FLIGHT #1254

Ok enough crap from everyone already :) It has been an extremely busy 3 weeks with a family reunion, wedding and vacationing in California so I am a little behind but I will slowly catch up but since I dont have a picture for this post I thought it would be a good one to start with.
On our flight back from California it was just me and the 2 kids. Since I have been flying with Elias since he was 3 weeks old I have the system down pretty dang good and I know that he needs to be sucking on a pacifier or a bottle during take off and landing. So being the excellent mother that I am I made my 9 month old stay awake during nap time so that he would sleep on the flight home. I prepared his bottle and was all ready to go just waiting for the pilots to take off into the air so I could shove (gently) his bottle into his mouth and enjoy the flight with a sleeping baby in my arms.
The plane takes off and starts to ascend into the air and my sweet boy drops his bottle and of course we are sitting in the second row and my reflexes werent "cat-like" this day so I didnt get the bottle in time and all I can do now is turn my head and watch it roll alllllllll the way to the very back of the plane.
Just like watching a crowd at a football game do the wave - I watched every person sitting in the aisle seat turn their head and watch the bottle roll on by. Do they even attempt to try and catch the bottle - nope! They just turn back and look at me and laugh. At this moment I am trying to decide if I should let the joke be on them and not doing anything about it and let them suffer with a crying baby for an hour and a half or should I be a good mommy and make the flight attendant unbuckle herself and walk to the back of the plane and look for the bottle. Well, we got the bottle back and Elias did great on the flight BUT to the lovely passengers of Flight #1254 - "THANKS FOR NOTHIN' YA HOMOS!"

TV ADDICTION?!

Ok so Elias is just crawling all over the place and what does he do with his new found freedom?! That's right he crawls right over to the TV and flops his deliciously chunky body in front of it and begins to relax and enjoy the person he was named after :) (Walt Elias Disney - not Mickey Mouse)

WHAT A MAN, WHAT A MAN, WHAT A MIGHTY GOOD MAN!

Ok bless Jared's heart. We don't have a big backyard but it takes almost 2 hours to mow it. He has to mow it 2 or 3 times because building a house on land where cows used to poop makes everything grow great (unless you are the one mowing) so it takes twice as long because it is so thick and tall. But the main reason he is a good man is because we argued about getting a "jumpline" (as Emma calls it) and of course I won but I didn't know that in winning that fight it would cause Jared to have permanent grass stained knees. He has to mow the lawn on his knees under the trampoline and by the time he gets the grass stains off - its time to mow again! oops - sorry babe :)

MARIO KART SCHMARIO KART

2 things Jared and I have always wanted...a black baby grand piano and some quads! We dont have the piano yet but we settled for a mini-dune buggy in place of some quads until we win the lottery or Intel stock strikes it big!
We found some "off road" areas to ride in in our neighborhood or as our HOA might refer to them, "green belts" which are quite fun to ride in for the time being until we can drive at full speed or until our HOA sends us hate mail.
PS - Feel free to stop by and ride it with us anytime but according to Emma, "daddy your rides are much more funner then mom's"!
