I sure do love back to school blessing days! The kids know as soon as church is over, we come home, meet in the family room while we are still in our Sunday best and then Jared begins - there is a little bit of arguing as to who gets to go first...but then there is a sweet calm and peacefulness that comes over the house as they all sit reverently listening to their siblings blessings. I decided a year or two ago I should record these for them so they could know of the things they were going through during that time in their life and how much Heavenly Father loves them.
EMMA:
Bless you to know how blessed and lucky you are to move onto this next phase of life in such favorable circumstances.
Heavenly Father wants you to know its no small thing to grow up in such a wonderful area with Perry, seminary and people around who love you.
This year show gratitude to all those who offer up service for you.
As you have a grateful heart, you will achieve a level of happiness others wont know.
Bless you that your critical thinking level will rise and you can use this to prepare to go to college.
You will be physically strong to participate in dance and extra curricular activities in school.
The level of success you reach is up to you by the amount of effort you put in.
The Lord is aware of the struggles you've had and the disappointment of not being recognized for the things you set your heart on; all these things will work out for your good.
I encourage you to work on Personal Progress and reach out to include everyone.
Bare your testimony as often as you are able.
ELI:
Bless you to have a good school year.
Bless you to know and understand you have many friends who look up to you and not to it lightly. Be a good example to them.
You need to understand in a short couple of years you will receive the priesthood and you need to start preparing now.
