TWINS 16TH BIRTHDAY PARTY!

We've tried really hard to do something extra special for our kids when they turn 16 (Emma and Maddie went to Disneyland, El and his 3 buddies went to Magic Mountain) but the twins have a big group of tight knit friends and we weren't sure how to break it up without hurting feelings and I am sure we did hurt feelings, but we did our best! We took 10 boys (Tyler, Tyson, Nash J, Masen, Nash H, Stockton, Mikey, Ammon, Rigden and Tyce) up to Nathan's cabin for the weekend!

I made an invitation and Tyson was so embarrassed by it and told me just to text his friends the info but I told him I needed to do an actual invitation because there was a lot of info I needed to get out to the moms! I told him if he didn't like my cheesy cupcake invite he could pick a different one...so I showed him options and he didn't like any of them and told me just to do white with black words....so he left to his friends house and I found the cheesiest little kid dinosaur one and did that instead! He had delivered a couple of his friends were laughing so hard and then he came home and said he wasn't delivering anymore....I told him no problem, I already mailed the rest anyways! So then obviously I take this dinosaur joke to the next level and got matching jammies and night lights! I crack myself up!

It was supposed to be filled with shooting, RZR rides, basketball, etc.....but as soon as they left Payson it started raining and then snowing when they arrived at the cabin. Needless to say it was to cold, wet and muddy to do those things. They stayed up late every night, rode the RZR on the road for a bit, played ping pong, ate a ton of food, wore their matching dinosaur pajama shorts and used their LED dinosaur nightlights (Jared said the boys loved the shorts and lights - ha ha) and then on Sunday they went to the Christopher Creek branch and Tyson, Ammon and Rigden ended up blessing the Sacrament together and then they all had to participate in a the branch youth muscial number - Jared was dying laughing at how embarrassed they all were. Needless to say it was a great weekend and tons of core memories were made! Love these boys and so grateful for Jared spoiling them, Nathan letting us use his cabin and for Joel volunteering to come up and help Jared with food and with driving! Happy Birthday twinners!!

SAVANNAH BANANAS GAME!

Everyone wants tickets to Savannah Bananas baseball game - they are the Globetrotters of baseball! They are SUPER hard to come by. I have even entered a list to try and get them and with no luck! A friend texted me a couple of days ago and said she had 5 lawn seats she was selling for what she paid - $35 a piece and wanted to know if anyone I knew wanted them....I knew Eli had been dying to go so I asked him if him and friends wanted to go and I would take them! They all wanted to go, but we had to mix it up a bit and 2 friends had to meet them there so I gave up my ticket so another friend could go. I was sad I didn't get to experience a game, but once these boys sent me their pictures from it - I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear watching them have the time of their lives! When they won these boys were jumping up and down and screaming! They got autographs, went to dinner after and made some core memories!! Love Eli and his buddies!

THE LAST JV GAME HE WILL EVER PLAY IN!

It was the JV game of the season and the last game that Eli will ever play in for JV! He played 1st base the whole game, first at bat his a sweet single, next 2 at bats he struck out (I knew he was going to strike out his second at bat - you can tell by his demeanor when he gets up, he was frustrated with his first strike out and went up their with a chip on his shoulder, I tried to shake it out of him like I've done in the past, but it wasn't working and I thought, this is all on him and his bad attitude) and we were down 8-3 and luckily we got to sneak in 1 more inning. Eli was up next in the batting order and by this time the softball team had come over to watch us finish our game and cheer on the boys and all I could say to Eli was, "this is your very last at bat ever on JV, you will never be on JV again! Go get yourself a home run and leave it all out there!" The crowd was loud, he was smiling and what do you know....he gets up there and hits is CRAZY out of the park homerun! Everyone went nuts! It started a rally and we ended the game 8-6, but even though we lost - Eli did his best and that's all I cared about. Coach Jones took off running to go grab Eli's homerun ball and when he came back he told Jared that Eli hit it so far out there he couldn't find it for a while! Another player told me as soon as his bat hit the ball he knew it was a homerun because it looked and sounded just like his first out of the park homerun he hit at the beginning of the season! It was a hard pill to swallow to be on JV again and be the only one, but we are so grateful he got to be with Thompson!! He is SO AMAZING for these boys!! He is exactly what they need and he knows just how to build them up and get them to believe in themselves! We will forever be grateful to him! Now Eli moves up to cheer on Varsity and hopefully they go all the way!! #8 is our favorite!! (Grandma and Grandpa came to Eli's last home game and Grandma was not please with the fact that Eli is taller than them! Eli had another great game that night too and they won!)

BRIDALS WITH ANNIE!

We love us some Annie Randall! She has been our family photographer since the twins were born! She has been there for us since they were 2 weeks old and has captured all of our major life events since! She is part of the family! I loved watching her take Emma's bridals yesterday! It was such a special night! She found the perfect locations for us!
