HALLOWEEN!

Halloween was a little different this year - the boys all had fun though and thats what matters! Eli ran off with Jake and Kendal and went trick-or-treating and hung out! The twins went out with some basketball friends and Nash met up with them and they all met at a girls house. The boys got separated so I only have the pics that Nash took! Emma went to Idaho to hangout with Hunter - they ended up not dressing up and just hanging out at his house! Jared didn't feel good so we stayed home, ate some dinner and watched a movie together! No one wanted to carve pumpkins with me - I was partly sad, because I miss the tradition of it but also carving pumpkins isn't top of my exciting things to do list either...but I am more sad that I don't have more pics of my boys - I am horrible now at taking pics and that's my biggest regret! My work Halloween theme was Barbie so everyone had to dress up as a different Barbie - I was workout barbie. Mikey came in that day and let me spray and suck him - ha ha! My work also had a pumpkin decorating contest and I won for my "Wilson" ball from "Cast Away" - it was a $50 Amazon gift card so that was fun!

AUNT JEANNE AND HER FUNERAL!

Thank you Aunt Jeanne for everything! Thank you for the thousands of times I stayed at your house growing up and just crashing there for 3 weeks with my kids so I could hang out with Jennifer! Thank you for still allowing me in your house even though we put a butt imprint dented into your wall! Thank you for the countless hours of Mexican Train Dominoes while Jennifer made us her special chicken sandwiches and we washed it down with Dr Pepper (even though yours was flat and not cold), thank you for all the matching pajama pants Emma and I had with the Fa'anunus! Thank you for the all the jam, especially the summer you let Emma help you and Eli drink it! Thank you for Emma's beautiful quilt, the burp clothes, the patterns you tried to send me so I could create my own but who are we kidding! Thank you for the eye rolls at me and Jennifer when we were cradking ourselves up and you had to be a respectable woman but secretly we knew you thoguht we were funny on the inside! Thank you for letting Jared an his brothers crash at your house on their roadtrip to Oregon! Thank you for keeping us safe when the crazy guy ran through your backyard and we ducked down inside your house! I could go on and on with memories of you....you were the best and I love you!

Funerals are always the worst! But the one thing I like about them is when they bring people together! I've been to 4 family funerals in 2 year, but at least I get to see some of my family each time! A quick trip to Califonria and back, visiting places of my past (Barlin Street, 1108 26th St, Vic's Ice Cream Shop, Farytale Town, Ronald Regan's old house where my dad used to deliver his newspapers to), laughing and making inappropriate comments with cousins (taking grandma/aunt jeanne's chickens home for Richelle, getting airport security to give Paul a hard time, making RJ and Richelle become bestie cousins for the weekend)...it's always good for my soul! Some of my cousins are some of my best friends...grqateful to the Sorensen legacy for making us be a tight knit group!

FALL PICS AND PETER MCPOLAND!

Emma and Hunter spent another weekend together in Idaho! His sister, Paige, took some pictures of them surrounded by the fall leaves - these are the only pics I saved, the rest of them they were being dorks in! Ha ha! They also went to the Orem Temple Open house! Emma said it was AMAZING! She got to see the sealing room and obviously this time it meant a lot more to her than it ever has before. She received confirmation inside there that Hunter was the one for time and all eternity! He is her person! Then Hunter even came down to SLC to go to see Peter McPoland with Emma. Much to our surprise she still chose Hunter over Peter! She was in heaven! He even sang the song she wants to dance with Hunter to at their reception! They even got Peter to say, "why be a sad bunny when you can be a happy pig!" (If you know you know!)

WORLDWIDE YOUTH TESTIMONY EVENT!

The church did their first ever Worldwide Youth Testimony event. Every ward was supposed to do it at 7pm their time. Our ward decided to meet in the desert and do it there! Jared and I brought all the electronic equipment needed to watch the 15 minute video, we sang an opening song, shared our testimonies (I cried), it was probably good the Bishop made me do it so that my boys could see I have a testimony since I don't really share it very often and then we had hot chocolate and donuts. Eli also bore his testimony. I am grateful I get to have this calling so I can spend more time with my boys besides just in a sports capacity!

RANDOM OCTOBER THINGS!

We had all the Jensens over for our traditional Halloween dinner, movie and cookie decorating. I am just horrible at taking pics these days! Jared was able to do the pizza oven which was awesome! First time since spring! The boys got to hang out with their cousins - I love so much that they have each other! And Emma was down for a weekend and we went to Prescott Valley so we could watch Lucy's baptism - Emma spoke at it! That night Eli and Emma hung out for a bit too!

HE'S MY FAVORITE!

He's my favorite! When things get frustrating or hard (like cancer crap not going your way).....he makes the same inappropriate jokes I do! "The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it!" Majorie Hinckley. There is no one else I would rather laugh my way through life with than him!

ELI'S 17TH BIRTHDAY!

How have we been blessed with Eli for 17 years?! Happy birthday to our favorite middle child, our oldest boy and the cutest 17 year old we know! We woke his lazy bum up in the morning and opened presents, we surprised him with grandma's honda accord, several things for his car and then a new ASU shirt and hat and tickets to go to the game today against Colorado to see Coach Prime - aka Deion Sanders. After Jared and Eli installed the dash cam and and messed around with the car for a bit then we made him drive us to get his free drink from Dutch Bros, free cookie from Twisted Sugar and we filled up his tank with gas! Then Jared and Eli headed off to the very crowded ASU game and had the best time! Then we met them at Joe's Farm Grill just after 8pm for dinner and came home to a DQ ice cream cake. He had a great birthday!
