We have never been on a family camping trip with all 6 of us. Jared and I took Emma with some of his siblings and their families when I was pregnant with Eli and Jared has taken the boys on several father and sons campouts, but never all 6 of us. We tagged along with the Parrys, Nana and Papa, Bells, Camille, Tim and Bentley. We were going for 2 nights. I called my mom the day before and thanked her for taking us camping growing up. I don't think I ever appreciated how much work that is to do that - its insane! But so worth it. We got up there and set up 3 tents, one for me and jared, one for the boys and one for Emma and Maddie! We just hung out the first day and cooked, dinner, made smores, kids rode their bikes, played jenga, etc.
The next morning me, Steph and Whit went running and then had breakfast and then we all headed up to the lake to go fishing and kayaking! That was a lot of fun! The kids all loved it. That night we went out to dinner in Christopher Creek, came back and had more smores and hung out. The next day was sadly time to go home, so we packed it up and headed home, but not before the kids had their "finale" as they called it. It was the last ultimate bike race!
The kids had such a fun time always playing together and getting a long so well. They made spears with their pocket knives, broke open rocks with hammers, played hide-n-go seek, etc. We had so much fun we decided we are going to go again but stay for 3 nights!
