MOM, I'M SORRY!

Dear Mom,
I never understood why you would get angry/annoyed at us when you would be going to the bathroom and I would knock on the door and ask you if I could go to my friend's house to play. "What's the big deal?" I would think. You are just sitting there peeing and I just want to go to my friends house. It's not like I was asking you to stop peeing to answer me, you can pee and talk at the same time. It's not like I was asking you to take me over there right that second. I was only asking you to say Yes or No, that's all. It seemed simple enough to me.I am a mom of 4 now, just like you. Now I get it. I understand 100% now: That was your only minute of freedom from the craziness of the house. I am sorry for everytime I ever knocked on the door while you were going to the bathroom. I just yelled at my kids for bugging me. Why can't they let me pee in silence for a minute or two?! Why can't they have patience and leave me alone until after I flush?! I'm sorry Mom, I totally understand now.
I love you!
Carol Ann

So True. I love the picture of your kids and the boys looking up like what are my brother and sister doing. Reading this made me realize that's what I did to my mom and I would even slip a note under the bathroom door for her to read. Wow who would've thought that going to the bathroom in peace would be so difficult with kids:). Happy Mother's Day Carol!! You are an amazing Mother and a wonderful friend.

OMG we used to follow my mom from the second she got out of the car from work, inside the house, into the bathroom...we'd sit on the counter and force her to listen to us chit chat...fighting for our turn to talk...

My poor mom...no wonder she checked out early!! She never had peace living with us...LOL

I totally know the feeling! Except I am usually having to hold one while I'm sitting there with the door opened so I can hear the other ones. Your Chicago trip looked like a blast. That is so good that you got to do that! And your easter pics are so fun. I love the baskets you made. I need to know how you did it so I can make some!

My kid opens the door and walks right in...and then tries to pull my underwear up while I am still going. I feel your pain...and I should learn to use the lock....

Love it Carol, I wonder the same thing. Next time make it stinky and they will not hang out as much!
