BACK TO THE DAILY GRIND!

Well today school is back in session, dang it. It was fun to have Emma home, to get to be lazy and not make lunches, to not have to get up and get her ready, and to get to hang out with her, etc. I think she had a good break, nothing too exciting but still better than nothing. We tried to have fun this break without spending money so here are a few things we did.
#1: Had a sleepover with her cousin Maddy.

#2: Spent time with Grandpa Rodgers, he even came over and brought a giant tether ball for Emma and him to play with.

#3: Invited 10 friends from the neighborhood/ward to come over and decorate Halloween cookies while listening to Halloween songs.

#4: The break started out with a date with Daddy and ended with a date with Mommy. Thanks to her school for handing out gift certificates to restaurants for not missing one day of school during the month of August. At lunch we gave "cheers" with our cups, colored together, did a word scramble together, ate lunch, had ice cream cones and headed home.

I'm seriously so in love with you!! You should get the "World's Prettiest/Greatest Mother & Wife" award...how can I ever live up to the high standards you set every day!!

You are amazingly patient, kind, giving, funny & so stinkin' skinny- I should hate you!!

Thanks for always finding time to love me, listen to me & be one of my closest friends!! I'm not sure how you do it...but Baby...you definitely look good doin' it!! I never want to move away from you!!

Love,

Your Prettiest Cousin :)

How fun! You are such an amazing mom:). Emma looks so cute and how fun to have a sleepover with her cousin. I loved doing that when I was younger. Seriously how fun that you had her friends over and decorated cookies..now you really are the coolest mom. You look great Carol and sorry you have to get back into the school routine, but it looks like overall it was a great "vacation".

Again, thank-you for taking the time to post the news and pictures. I often wish I could be retired so I could spend more time with my family. Until then your posts help to vicariously keep me more involved.

so fun! Carol, you skinny thing you. :) You must be lifting heavy weights and skipping the double midnight snacks. You do look super pretty, though, just to let you know.
You're such good parents, so fun for Emma! Tomorrow will be my sad day of kids back to school and I'm definitely NOT looking forward to getting up at 630 instead of 830 (ok, mostly 730, sometimes 800). Oh well, only a few more months till Christmas break!
