1. The best form of birth control is hospital food because after one meal one will never want to stay there again! An hour after pushing 2 human beings out of my body the last thing I wanted to do is eat crap but crap would probably taste better than the weird meat they tried to serve me. Actually I am not even sure if it was meat, it could have been something else with some brown color to it.
2. If one doesn't want to cook a meal for 3 weeks straight, give birth to twins. The free meals stop tomorrow, dang it. Who can I sign up for tomorrow's dinner? JUST KIDDING!
3. Cutting 6 inches off one's hair makes one feel like a new pretty person for about 24 hours, then reality sets in and one realizes that one's hair dresser only cut off hair, not left over baby fat; then the pretty feeling is all gone.
4. There is never a safe place for the twins in our house except for the play pen pushed away from the couch. Cute little Elias loves his brothers so much he has figured out how to climb onto or into anything so he can give them kisses. The only exception is the play pen, Elias hasn't figured out how to get into that yet.
5. Even though the boys are laid down apart from each other they somehow figure out to get next to each other to snuggle while they sleep.
6. Moms are programmed somehow to function and be happy with very little sleep (and the sleep they do get is interrupted every hour or so). Dads are DEFINITELY not programmed the same way!
7. I have hidden beast deep down inside that comes out and argues with people when they are wrong and I am right which manages to somehow get the things I want and feel I am entitled to. This beast disappears after having babies and is evident when I get my insurance bills that I refuse to pay. I lose all my beast gusto when I break out into tears on the phone and have to make Jared finish the call. Dang it! When will I return to normal and be the beast that I love so much?!
8. They may not look the same but they sleep the same.

i must say that is the cutest pic of them cuddling!! oh and your hair looks good! you silly girl, you did it good just so you know :)
Looks like your surviving quite well. Great job!
Sorry I have no idea what to do on this blog thing. They are so cute Carol. I cannot wait to meet them. Lindsey (Shelby's sister)
They are so adorable!! It sounds like things are going well!!
It is interesting how taking care of babies can tame the wild beast in anyone. All other things seem inconsequential compared to being blessed with new baby spirits coming to live with you.
They are the sweetest little boys!! You are so strong! I can't believe your birthing story! I've done it natural but there was only one baby, no moving another baby, birthing a second, placenta and stitching. I've never felt the placenta or stitching. Weird? Anyway Congradulations they are adorable and you are a wonderful beautiful mother! (i'm prego...sorry i get sappy but its true!)
They are so cute sleeping next to each other like that! I love it. I like your hair too! It's beautiful!
You are so awesome! and I love the picture of the boys snuggeling in their matching onsies. Are you having fun getting them dressed or what?

Yay! New Tyler and Tyson post! I love the cuddling picture... so sweet! And the part about Elias managing to cuddle with them everywhere they're sleeping! Sounds like Ava with Mia... still! But hey, I'm just grateful its only 1 that I have to keep her from.
So miss pretty, you must think you are skinny now, because from what I remember, you said you wouldn't cut your hair until you felt skinny! :) Well, I have to say you look great to me!!
Keep the fun twins posts comin! --by the way, I caught how you mentioned twins (you and I being twins with our sprinklers) on your comment on my blog... I don't know if you did it intentionally, but it made me smile and realize you have twin-o-vision :)
Tyler and Tyson are just getting cuter and cuter! I enjoyed being with them today, holding them, and feeding them, and I loved the time I spent with Emma and Maddy the fourth of July. We had so much fun at the fireworks display. Thanks for going with me Emma and Maddy! It was so fun for me that I hope we go again next year!
These pictures are really cute of the babies. And, Carol, I love your hair cut. :)
Shut up...check you out...you are so BEAUTIFUL! And there is no way you have a hidden beast inside...I am not buying it.
Your babies are so sweet.
Hey there! First things first...I finally got to see what all the buzz was about today...your boys are very cute! Sorry it took me so long to get over, I've been on the road pretty much non-stop lately. Just know that whatever gift(s) Kara has given you so far, that I financed them (which is pretty much like 99% of the effort) by the sweat of my brow. I'm sure that they'll warm up to me some day...just as Elias did today when I bribed a smile with a sour gummy worm. Anyway, when you're up for it, we'd love to have you guys out our way for a BBQ.

Carol, I love this post! How's it going? Are you ready for that lunch we talked about? I am up for it anytime! Or you can go get lunch and go see a movie and I will watch your kids! Speaking of...can I have one of the twins? After I came and saw them, I couldn't stop thinking about how cute and little they were! I loved holding them! Your a good mom and does the bursting into tears ever go away?
