Emma and I went and took a bunch of pictures by the billboard and when I went to submit it online I decided to tell them my sob story of why I should win the tickets because I heard other people do it and their stories were dumb. Apparantly I am still a good sales person because I was able to sell our story to them and they called me yesterday 4 times to put me on air but I was at the gym. I was so frustrated with myself at the thought that I had just blown Emma's chances of going to the concert.
In an attempt at trying to get the station to call me back again we went down to the billboard and took another picture. It worked, because at 6:45am this morning they called to have me on stand by to put me on the air. At 9:30am they finally put me on the air and told me right before I went on to really ham it up so I did. I told them that the caller before me had a really lame story and mine was better, blah blah blah, they liked my competitive spirit and in the end I won the tickets (um ya, I cried on the air when they told me I won - why would I do that - I am such a homo) - so now I get to be a cool mom and take my daughter to her first concert!

You are a cool mom! Here you were working out, but it paid off for you to get tickets for your girl! How exciting for Emma and you to go to the concert. Your starting your kids out early with concerts...just like their mom and her concerts.
As everyone else mentioned, you are totally the coolest mom! When I was little we had to sneak listening to the radio, I don't know why, but there you are listening and talking on air for your kids, and not KLITE either, KISSFM! Yeah, my kids are going to be begging to live with you when they're older, or I'll have to hear, "But Eli's mom lets him..." Great.

Carol, that is the greatest ever. I'm sereiously a closet win contest person, a couple of years ago regis and kelly were giving away 40 vans and I sent in like 50 post cards, sadly thinking I would get a call everyday, it never happended.
