The laurel's planned a Where's Waldo mutual activity, but then they all got released (Emma, Noelle, Addi, Emma M) so it kind of fell apart and then the leaders took over. Hope had scriptures with clues as to where inside Walmart your hidden figure might be hiding. It was fun to sit there and watch the girls run around trying to find all the people. Jac Bishop and I partnered up as old women - meet Carol (already an old person name so no need to change it) and Edee! We were yelling at each other in the shoe department in old lady accents (didn't know that was a thing, but we made it a thing) while I hobbled around with Grandma Joyce's cane and she rode an electric shopping cart thing. I guess we had done such a good job at our acting that one of the men there from our ward thought we were a bunch of African American old ladies yelling at each other - ha ha!

CABIN TRIP!
It was time for another Boys only cabin trip in August! The twins really look forward to this a lot. Eli was stressed about missing school, but it didn't seem fair to make the twins lose a day and Jared had a lot to do around here since he had just gotten home from Oregon so we found a perfect solution! Nathan took the twins up to the cabin Thursday after school and then Friday after school Jared and Eli headed up to the cabin. Friday night Tatum came over and spent the night with Emma and then she left and Emma had Cheer's black dress pictures and then when she was done we turned it into a mommy/daughter night...complete with chick flicks, dutch bros, crumbl cookies, dinner, etc....we also rolled into Sunday after church too. The boys had the best time at the cabin! Getting dirty, cliff jumping, playing card games, late night outside games of laser tag, quad and razor rides, catching lizzards and crawdads, jumping on the trampoline, spraying each other with the power washer, texting good night weird pictures to each other, etc. It's always good to escape the heat and be all boy for a bit and everything that comes with it!

MULTI-STAKE LAUREL AND PRIESTS ACTIVITY!
Emma NEVER gets to go to mutual, because she either has work or cheer or dance. What are the odds that the one time she has nothing they do a multi-stake laurel and priest activity and its ice skating. So she went and had the best time with her friends! LOVE IT!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
First day of school - it was a bitter sweet day as always! Emma is a senior, Eli started junior high and is in 7th grade and it's my last year for kiddos to be in elementary school cause the twins started 6th grade - 3 schools this year - this should be fun! Emma got off to school great and have the best first day! Maddie came over after school and brought her a treat and they hung out all night. Twins were next to leave. I am an idiot and for whatever reason was thinking the bus left at 8:10 when in reality it leaves at 7:10am. First time ever my kids did not ride the bus to school. at 7:50am when I realized my mistake and no one was ready, I quickly called RJ to see if the bus had left and of course he had so he came over to our house, the boys quickly got ready and we ran out front and took our pictures and then hopped in the car and took off for Haley. RJ went to go make sure Alyza made it ok and I walked the boys to class. Tyson was mortified that I was coming to take a picture in class, I told him he could get over it or else I would kiss him on the lips in front of everyone. He finally played it cool and let me take a pic of him in class. While I was taking his pic Tyler came over to me and told me he had forgotten his lunch - I smiled and said no worries I will grab it for you! I finished up with Tyson and headed over to Tyler. He was starting to do his fake yawning thing which means he is fighting off tears, his face was turning red and his lip started to quiver. The teacher turned around and asked us if we were good and I said he had forgotten his lunch and I would bring it right back, she could see the stress on his sweet face and she assured him as soon as I brought she would let him go right up to the office and grab it. I took his picture, took a lap to give him a minute and went back and checked on him and he caught me and I smiled and said I would be right back with his lunch and to have a good day. No worries though, they made it off the bus and were all smiles. Grandma and Grandpa Rodgers had come over for after school dessert and to hear about the twins day, Emma's day and Alyza's day. Next kid up to school was Eli. We took so long at Haley that I didn't think we would make it back on time for his bus. I was right. As soon as we got there it was pulling away. At this time Eli still didn't know if he wanted to ride the bus or get dropped off. I followed the bus giving him some time to make a decision. He decided to brave the bus and ride it. He was most stressed having to go to a new school, follow a schedule, find his classroom, find a friend, etc. I gave him a brand new pack of gum and told him at lunch to take out the pack, eat a piece and then offer it to everyone at the table and he would have insta friends, he was a little hesitant to trust me, but he took it. After her got on the bus I got a couple of texts from him that he was doing good and found a friend! We picked him up at the bus stop and he had a friend in every class, at lunch and even walks with different friends to classes. He was all smiles. I had big plans to take the kids to dinner that night and hear all about their day but everyone ran off with friends so I just ran and picked up In n Out burger for whoever was at my house. It was a good first day in deed!

SUMMER SHENNANIGANS!
Besides our trip to Oregon this summer, we didn't do a whole lot because Jared was in Oregon. The twins pretty much lived at Mikey's house all summer since they just got a brand new pool so it was back and forth between houses and everyone hanging out with friends, Emma getting in all her Maddie time before she moves to Utah, working, cheer, Eli hanging out with his friends and prepping for Junior high. Some days we were exhausted from all the fun we had had the day before or staying up late into the night because they were on their best behavior and I was to lazy to send them to bed! It was a good Summer!
