FINALLY TYSON'S TURN!

For some reason Tyson has been dying to hold the flag at Espee during the National Athem. He finally got the chance! He loved it. Turns out, he really loves the token you get to buy something from the red wagon - sneaky kid!

FRESHMAN AWARDS ASSEMBLY!

It's very fancy here at Perry, we got a letter in the mail telling us that because Emma had a GPA of 4.0 and higher she was getting a freshman award. Sadly, as soon as they read off her name we had to take off to dance, but she saw a few friends on the way out and got pictures with them. She is such a hard worker - I know we say how proud of her we are a lot, but we really are. She held on to a 4.5 GPA, was a cheerleader at school, dance competitively at the studio, etc.

MOVE COMPETITION!

Even though it was on a Sunday - which is naughty - We took the whole family to the competition to watch Emma dance. I think it is important for the boys and her dad to see what she spends half her life doing. They really enjoyed watching her. They especially loved Bailar! Who doesn't?! Its up upbeat ballroom production - its a crowd pleaser for sure. She has had so many little solos in her dances this year and little spot lights - she has really risen to the occasion for these. One of their dances by Hailey Hoffman even beat a teen 1 number and the girls were quite pleased with themselves.  Ha ha funny girls!

TYSON HITS A HOME RUN!

BEST.NIGHT.EVER!!! Tyson was so determined to hit a home run for a while now. But this little kid went up to the plate and got himself a home run!! A legit one too - not one that he scored on over throws, he really hit the ball out to the grass and it rolled to the fence! Jon was there taking pictures of the team and he couldn't have come on a better night - LOVE that he was there to capture the whole thing for us! He loved having his team run out of the dugout and pound on him! Smile a mile wide!

ALL NIGHTER!

When your cousin says she has a layover in AZ so she wants to hang out - leaves out the part that her flight doesn't get in until 11pm - you do what any cousin would do...pick her up, get a sonic drink, visit your 93 year old grandma from midnight until 2:30am, go home and hang out and then at 4am decide to head down to the church to set up for mutual only to find out that you can't get in until 6am! in an hour and a half she will be back in the air and I will have been up for 24 hours straight with no signs of going to bed anytime soon because of kids school, watching my niece, my bathroom project, mutual driving kids around, etc. If you find me passed out somewhere today - just know I am sleeping peacefully after my amazing 6 hours with my long lost cousin!

It really was the best way to spend 24 hours with no sleep. The day wasn't so bad on no sleep, but the next day was brutal - pretty sure I was hit by a freight train. But I would do it all over again! Grandma was the cutest and bought us a box of chocolates, got out fruit for us to nibble on and never wanted us to leave. She has the best stories!! We love grandma!

PINEWOOD DERBY!

It was a successful day at the Pinewood Derby races this morning! All 3 boys got to compete for the first time, all 3 boys were winners and all 3 boys were all smiles! We may have been accused of cheating by a few people in the ward who were just jealous of our winning streak...but I assured them that the boys picked out the color of paint for their cars, the design and sat there and watched Brother Brice build their cars for them - ha ha! They did do the secret finishing touches at home that sealed the deal for them. Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Jensen for coming and watching them!
