TYLER STUDENT OF THE MONTH!

Tyler was chosen Student of the Month! We were so excited for him. He is so deserving of this. He is the quiet, hard worker. He talked all about it between when he got the award and when his actual rootbeer float lunch was with the principal. He needed to make sure he had a very special lunch packed that day!   Tyler was also Student of the Week in his classroom. The kids all had to do a page about him in a book. Tyson knows his twin very very good!! He drew his favorite animal, drink, vehicle, vacation and I believe that is the AZ Cardinals mascot. Love it!

PHS ADVANCED DANCE CONCERT!

(since I am back dating this post and really writing it 6 months later...) Emma danced in her one and only Perry High School Dance Concert! Going into it, Jared and I honestly thought it would be a joke, but we have to admit - they were a lot better than we thought. She never ceases to amaze us on stage.  She ended up dropping advance dance at school because between juggling her heavy school load, studio dance, school dance and cheer...it was way too much for her. Plus - her big end of the year dance concert that would have been worth a ton of points, fell on the same weekend as a big studio competition and we didn't need that stress too! So, she dropped it and is now in photography and loves it. Dance will always be a part of her and it was great to sit and back and enjoy her one time dancing as a Puma! (in hind sight - I probably should have taken more pictures - oops!)

2016 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS!

Here are a few of my presidental election stories with my children:

After just watching an anti-Hillary commerical on tv, Tyler asks, "mom, are you voting for Hillary Clinton or Trump? Cause Hillary Clinton only care about herself and money! And she is going to take away our guns and our Pokemon cards! But Trump is going to take away math from schools and math is my favorite!"
#decisionsaretheworst #eletion2016 #wellinformedvoter

Yesterday when I picked the boys up from baseball practice, they were telling me how in class they had their own class voting for the President. Tyler voted for Trump and Tyson voted for Hillary Clinton. We don't really talk politics with our kids at this age, but I couldn't take it anymore and I had to explain to Tyson that the info he had received from his friends wasn't all accurate. I did explain how we wanted to vote for Trump in hopes of protecting the Constitution and hoping to keep our 2nd amendment rights and the rights of freedom of religion. I think my talk went over pretty well...the boys now think that we need Trump as a president because if Hillary is elected the military will no longer have guns and they will have to fight in wars with knives and sticks! Oh boy!

Last night after sports and showers, we decided to turn on the tv and check to see who was winning the election. Never in my life did I find watching the election to be such a sporting event - I guess with 3 boys in the house - what else would it be. Every time the numbers changed at the bottom of the screen showing a new state's voting complete and then how many electoral votes each candidate was getting - the boys would jump up and down and get super excited or super sad if it went the other way. They were so into it - we might have let them stay up till 11pm watching it. When it was looking as though it was going to be many hours before a president was determined we sent them to bed. It was quite an exciting night!

STIXX FARM A BASEBALL PICTURES!

Here is the twins team the Stixx Farm A Fall baseball season pictures....

This was the boys first year in kid pitch. It was interesting, fun and tough. The boys went out at the first couple of games and had great hits, then something happened in the middle of the season and they got nervous up at bat and did a lot of striking out. They played a lot in the out field. They are probably the best outfielders on the team, but they don't realize it. They are burned out right now on baseball, tis the season, but we are still looking forward to what spring will bring them!

HALLOWEEN!

Another tradition carried on! I love that our kids know what we do on Halloween without asking and look forward to it. We went over to the Parrys house and had soups, chicken nuggets, drinks, etc and then all went trick-or-treating. This year RJ and Alyza joined us. This year Emma and Maddie ditched us. This year the kids ran up to a lot of houses by themselves and we could just stand there while they hit up several houses in a row - while it was quite nice to be so lazy - it was also sad realizing our fast our kids are growing up and that sucks!

Emma had the opportunity with DC2 - to go around the valley and do a couple of "Thriller" flash mobs. She loved her costume (I found the perfect dress at Goodwill and Tiffany and I zombiefied it) and had fun getting ready with Tatum each time and doing her creepy makeup.

Intel had a party for employees and their families. We didn't get to spend much time at it, but the kids loved it and especially loved the zip line!

We did our traditional pumpkin purchasing at the pumpkin patch and then carved the pumpkins together! We love that the kids are getting older and after I help scrape out the inside and Jared helps trace their carvings they can carve it all themselves! Tyler may have had a small melt down when his pumpkin didn't turn out the right way - we blame Jared for not tracing it correctly - I can not stand to see that sweet boy cry - right before I was about to run to the store for another pumpkin - we decided to carve the word "boo" in the back and all the kids were super excited for his pumpkin because it had two carvings on it - ha ha!

Jared and I went and helped out at the school's Apex Fun Run - the boys love it when we come. We also made monsters out of rice krispy treats this year!

THRILLER AT TUACHUAN!

DC2 decided that because they were going to be doing some "Thriller" flash mobs it would be fun to rent a bus and take the girls up to St. George, Utah to go to Tuachuan and see Thriller performed there. They had to get on the bus at 6am on Saturday morning, took it up there, checked into their hotel, got some dinner at Cafe Rio, went and watched the show and then went back to the hotel. That next morning, they had breakfast, lounged around for a bit and then got back on the bus and came home. It was a short weekend away, but Emma had the best time!!
