DANCE AWARDS NATIONALS!

Nationals came and went. It always fun to spend some sort of alone time with just Emma even though she is really surrounded by her friends and we share rooms with people so we aren't actually alone at all, but still fun to get away from reality for a week together - even though we miss the boys like crazy. Emma had a lot of fun, spent a lot of hours dancing or hanging out in the pool with Tatum and Rylin. I love watching her do what she loves to do. Highlights of the week were: eating Ben and Jerry's Tonight Dough (we have been wanting to try that for a long time), seeing Dennis Rodman, but mostly be and my best friend Twitch hanging out - we are pretty tight - I might have stalked him for a while until it happened, followed him up an escalator, paid little kids to keep an eye out, but you know - that's what you do to see your bestie! He is just as nice in person as he seems on tv!

While the girls were away - the boys had to play! They did lots of swimming at Alyza's house, lots of Chick-Fil-A runs, sleepovers in Emma's room, my room, lego building, Tyson creating his own game - complete with a set of rules written out, and lots of exhausted boys from a fun daddy wearing them out every day!

4th of JULY!

4th of July was a little sad this year. Emma and I had to take off for Nationals this day so we didn't get to celebrate with the boys. They still had a great day together though. They dressed up in their scout uniforms, learned how to respect the flag and hang up the flag, they went swimming, went out to lunch and dinner and then met up with the Parrys and their family for fireworks - the boys loved shooting them off and watching them! Sadly, Emma and I were watching competition so we didn't see a single firework. Happy Birthday 'Merica!

DBACKS VS GIANTS!

I love when we get to go to family things on Intel's dime! We took the family and Maddie - cause she might as well be family - to the baseball game. The kids had a blast! Stuffed themselves with junk, tried to catch foul balls, the girls like to wander the stadium - they must be scamming on guys - and the boys get into the game a whole lot more now that they can really understand whats going on and they like to point out good things the players did and bad things - they are such good judges of baseball players - ha ha!

FIRST RECITAL WITH DC2!

Man I am so grateful Emma has finally put on her big girl pants - of all the years I needed it, this was the year. Every recital I am there start to finish (not necessarily because Emma needs me, but because I have worked at SAS and so I help at recital), but not this year. Emma's recital took place over the twins birthday and also their big baptism weekend! So grateful that Andrea drove her out to Queen Creek every day, multiple times for me, and grateful Emma totally understood what was going on that weekend and fully supported us ditching her for her brothers. She handled the dress rehearsal on Thursday by herself, 2 recitals on Friday herself and then 3 recitals on Saturday alone, but Jared and I went out to the very last show, #6 that weekend to watch her do her thing! She was beautiful of course! Unfortunately, we only got to see her competition pieces and not her hip hop, tap or ballet, but lucky for us, DC2 has a professional photographer come out and take pictures so here they are...Thanks again Emma for handling your business this weekend!
