Tyler is our climber. He climbs the chain link fences at the baseball games, climbs the brick walls out front, etc. Jared caught him at the top yesterday shouting, "I'm Jack the Pumpkin King!" (Nightmare Before Christmas) Tyler saw Jared and hurried down so this is the best picture he could get :)

BUCKET LIST #3 CHECKED OFF!
My last item on my official bucket list has been crossed off. 1, item I knew would happen eventually and it did (New York at Christmas time), another item I thought would be impossible, but it had to be on there anyways (Club 33, still can't quite figure out how exactly I pulled that one off) and last item, to be in a flash mob, this one I thought would be the easiest, but it took me the longest, kinda funny. Now that all my items are crossed off I am going to come up with a new list so I don't die since my list is complete!
I have been signed up for a couple of years (nerdy I know) to be in a Flash mob. They go to different states all the time, but they never have come to AZ. I was beginning to think I would have to travel to CA to be in one, but it was my lucky day, Oreo Cookies turned 100 and had flash mobs celebrating their birthday in 8 different states.
When I got the email I quickly made Jared take the time off that day starting at 2pm because the flash mob was going to be at 3pm, but I wouldn't tell him what it was for, I was going to surprise him. As the date (March 6) got closer things started to change. The time got bumped up earlier and then they wanted a couple of hours of rehearsal time. I decided it just wasn't meant to be. I couldn't get Jared to take the whole day off for this, I couldn't miss school (I need the free gimme points) and I really didn't want to go down there by myself for that long, so I decided to forget about it.
I just couldn't shake it, how could I pass up this opportunity to be in one when they never come to AZ, it was only one day of school I would be missing and before I became a responsible adult, I could have cared less about missing a day. So I made a couple of phone calls and I found a friend to go with me and then I decided if my mom would babysit then I knew it was meant to be, but I was sure I was in for a hard time, my mom doesn't support ditching school. Well, apparently old age softens you because she wasn't jumping up and down about me missing school, but she was supporting it and going to babysit for me.
The night before the flash mob after we were done celebrating Emma's birthday and she had gone to bed, Jared hooked up the lap top to the TV so I could practice with a big area and see it on the big screen. I practiced for a bit and even worked up a sweat. Then I showed my dance to Jared and yes, even tried on several different outfits for him to help me decide which one was best, it had to be all black and went out and bought a few different things, I mean this is a bucket list item, I needed to look good! ha ha.
The day came, Tiffany Szymanski and I headed out as soon as we got the kiddos off to school and we were bummed out we didn't pull our girls out of school for this, after all, they are dancers and it was Oreo's 100th birthday, dang we were dumb.
We got down there and practice for an hour or so and then casually walked over to the place where it was going to take place. We were told to shop in the stores, walk around, but not to be in big groups, remember a flash mob comes out of no where to surprise everyone. I was a little bummed, it wasn't as busy around the area as I was hoping it would be. channel 5 was there to record it though and so was a country radio station.
As Tiffany and I sat around and talked and waited for 12pm to come a group of young kids in their 20's started looking around and suspecting something. Then the girls got all giggly and said, "I think there is going to be a flash mob!" Then they got really excited. They asked us what was going on and we were told to say, "I don't know, I think it's a birthday party?"
The confetti exploded out in the middle of the square and the Oreo cookie man came out and a lady started singing Happy Birthday, slowly but surely the crowd starting filing in and all singing Happy Birthday. The crowd was growing bigger and bigger by the second and people started pulling out their phones and taking pictures and recording videos.
The music started and we began to dance, I had the hugest smile on my face, I was a little school girl in a candy shop, I couldn't believe I was doing this. I was loving it. It only lasted about 2 1/2 minutes, but it was the best 2 1/2 minutes ever! As soon as the music stopped, we all just walked away. The crowd loved it. As we were heading back to our car one of those excited 20 something girls came up to us and told us we were awesome! We were! And so was the flash mob! Bucket List item #3, completed (and as an added bonus we got paid $25 each to do it, double score, ha ha)!

PEPSI ON THE FLOOR!
You know those days where you wake up with a great plan of attack and then one thing after another happens and your plans are out the window, so you decide to get a 44oz pepsi with 3 shots of vanilla in it to make the day a little better, and it does help, but then you turn your back on your drink and before you know it your 3 little buddies spill it....ya, i guess today will have to be laughed off as a day that will not go according to my fantastic plans and give my boys kisses because some day i will miss it when they are gone and don't make messes and spill my little bit of happiness smile emoticon gotta love it!

JENN'S CABIN!
So the only exciting plans we had for spring break this year was to go up to Show Low to stay at Jenn's cabin for a few days. It's always nice to get away from the usual daily tasks and just lounge about, ride quads and the ranger, read books, watch movies, etc.
On the way up we made a quick pit stop in Payson and happen to park right next to a fire truck and the fire fighters let the kids climb in :)
All the cousins got a long well and enjoyed hanging out with each other!
Emma and Maddie were often found hiding out playing Monster High Dolls in the little secret hideout up in the loft...or outside building their own little club house (these girls clubhouses pale in comparison to the amazing ones I used to make, ha ha)
I regret not taking more pictures and especially of the boys riding around on little quads. Eli and Tyler LOVED it! All the kiddos loved the ranger rides (I even let Emma and Maddie drive for a few minutes on nice flat ground, ya those girls aren't ready for licenses anytime soon!)
We ended the trip a day early because there was a big snow storm coming in, but then we carried on the fun to our house and pretended we were still out of town and got sonic, pizza, rented movies and had Maddie still stay with us! It was a great little get away!

SPRING TRAINING BASEBALL!
Eli has really been into baseball lately. He wants to practice it 24/7. So we decided to drop Em and the twins off at Grandma and Grandpa's house and take Eli to his first spring training baseball game. We got there well before it started so Eli could watch the players practice, get an autograph, toss around the ball with his dad and just chill. He loved it. We ended up sitting with all the Germaine girls and hanging out with them. Eli did not care that much for the grass seats, but once he moved to a regular seat without the sun directly in his eyes he really got into the game. He was calling foul balls, telling us if the players hit a double or not, he loved it. He didn't want to go. Jared already promised to take him to another real baseball game and that's how we got the boy to leave with us! "Go Rodgers!" (As Eli kept calling them :)Fingers crossed he doesn't puke tonight from his mike-n-ikes, pizza, sno cone and italian ice!

EMMA TURNS DOUBLE DIGITS!
I don't remember turning 10 and thinking it was so awesome because I was now double digits, but Emma was pretty excited about it so I am sure I was to back then. 10. I can't believe she is 10. I can't imagine my life without her, but at the same time it seems like she was just born.
This year for her birthday party she wanted it to be a Zumba Birthday party. We hired the sweetest gym Zumba instructor Shelly to come over and teach the girls how to Zumba. We got the girls all little belly dancing skirts as their party favor, we played some Dance Central Xbox Kinect, had a dessert table, dinner table and did some silly string. The party went by so fast we didn't even have time to open up presents, oops. Emma loved her party and that made the 12 hours the day before spent on her party all worth it :)

The next day we decided to eat dinner outside, the kids loved it and then we ended up singing Happy Birthday to Emma and doing candles and cake and a couple of gifts that night too!
The next day was Emma's actual birthday. My dad came and babysat the boys all day so I could go with Emma on her school field trip. We went to the zoo and I got to hang out with her, when we got off the bus she asked if she could hold my hand, I guess double digits doesn't make you to old for that, yes!
I wasn't allowed to bring treats this year since they were going to be gone all day on a field trip and then when they got back there wasn't going to be enough time, but I still wanted the kids to know it was her birthday so I got her a birthday sash to wear around all day. I heard her say to some friends, ""I can't even begin to imagine how much this sash cost!" I quick to pipe in, "well, imagine it cost a dollar, cause that's how much it was!"
Emma's little group I got to chaperone on the field trip (Kinslee, Elizabeth, Julia, Hannah, Emma, Brenna and Carolyn (we will talk about Carolyn later in another blog - don't like her!!)
I was naughty and brought sodas for our lunch, she liked it, I needed it, ha ha.
After school we took Emma out to Joe's BBQ for dinner and then she wanted to go to 2 hours of dance still that night (she missed the other 2) and then after dance we came home and she opened up the rest of her presents and found out that one of them is her favorite cousin of all time, Abby, is going to fly down in April and hang out with her, she jumped up and down for a while about that one! Happy Birthday Emma! We sure do love you!
