The last little bit of Tyson's poison ivy he got up at the cabin playing 007 in the ground! Since we were at Rj's for whatever reason I wasn't motivated to do a lot - I think because I wasn't in my own space, so we skipped family pictures this year and only did the boys! Amber and I went to go support Kati and Bo at Bo's wrestling match! We had sparkling martinellis for Valentine's Day! The twins and their crew headed to jr high basketball practice - nothing is better than being on a team with all your buddies! And just a pic of Emma becauase she's cute!

TWINS FIRST TIME REFFING!
The twins finally ref'd for the first time AND THEY WERE STRESSED!! Tyler had to do it with a fever - poor guy. Luckily, Eli took one for the team and went out on the field for the first game and helped him. Tyler had to do it all himself, but Eli was there to back him up. They made a great team!! Tyson was sick in his stomach that morning and the night before stressed about the big game. Jared was there watching him and there to back him up. He also did a fabulous job! Since their first game, they have ref'd several more, they still complain, but they do it by themselves and enjoy it when the paycheck comes in the mail afterwards!

ALAQC JV BASEBALL FRESHMAN YEAR!
This kid has come a long way! From his very first year palying t-ball and shoving rocks into his back pockets out in the outfield to today....today he found out he made the ALAQC JV baseball team! Jared andI could have vomited while we watched him take the long walk into the coaches office to find out if he made it or not...then we shed happy tears as he came out and threw us a thumbs up sign! He was so straight faced about it - we made him come over to us and promise us he had actually made it! He said the JV coach said, "As soon as I saw you, I knew I wanted you on the team!" Several weeks have passed and we have watched this boy blossom into what he has been striving for. He is so confident. Goes out there and hits the ball EVERY.SINGLE.TIME! He is a starter and bats at the top of the line-up. Knock on wood...we don't want to jinx him, but we could not be more proud of the confident ball player he is! Coach Kuntz and Coach Thompson and Coach Sanchez have been so good for him! #12 is our new favorite number! (except at away games, then our favorite number is 6 - ha ha!)

DAD'S BIRTHDAY!
We had a great time celebrating Grandpa Rodgers' birthday even though it was awkward - ha ha. Rj and I both thought we were invited over for dinner - although to be fair to grandma - she never specifically said "dinner". It was fast Sunday and we were meeting at 5:30pm and she did mention dessert. We showed up and hang out for a few minutes and then Rj sends me a text and says I think they already ate dinner. I said no way, we are having dinner. I finally ask out loud and sure enough - they already ate dinner! So we hurry and skip to gifts and dessert and then Tyson and Alyza stay and play with cousins and then the rest of us raced home and all frantically worked together to bust out some chicken enchiladas and then I went back to go pick them up. It was a funny story we will forever tease Grandma about, but it was still fun to celebrate Grandpa all together with Ashley on facetime! Look how many people in the background are helping grandpa blow out his candles!
ELI DRIVES FOR THE FIRST TIME!
After church we headed out to check out our house and on the way back we pulled over into the Casteel parking lot and I hopped in the back seat with the twins and Jared jumped into the passenger seat and Eli took over at the wheel. Me and the boys were nervous in the back - ha ha but Jared and Eli did an excellent job. He handled that jeep like a champ. I can't believe we are about to have another driver - yikes!!
LAYTON LAKES 1ST WARD!
Realizing that our time in Layton Lakes 1st ward in the Chandler South Stake is coming to an end soon, I have to sit back and appreciate this view. One of the hardest things about moving to Queen Creek is leaving behind all of our friends who have become family to us in this area. I will miss watching my boys sit with the Cardons. I will miss watching our boys swap seats, swap families, etc. I love them all so much!

YOUTH CONFERENCE FOR ALL THE BOYS!
Jared and I were so excited for all 3 boys to be able to go to Youth Conference together for the first time. They were staying overnight at Superior High School - but then we remembered we were living at Rj's house and it was his weekend with Alyza - there was nothing exciting about it - instead we spent it out at the new house putting up shiplap and stuff. The boys had a great time with their friends! So grateful for leaders who snap pics of our boys and text them to us! Ha Ha! Tyson and Eli both in the same picture dancing with some girls. Turns out all 3 boys danced a ton with different girls - so proud of them!
