LISTENIING TO A PROHPET!

President Nelson was coming to Arizona to speak to as many as he could at the Cardinal Stadium. Each ward got so many tickets to go. Every ward deligated them out differently. Our ward started out with first come first serve. Then they had 50 floor seats for the youth. Some how we got lucky and Eli and Emma got those tickets! So we caravanned with some families up to the stadium and did a tailgate before in the parking lot. The kids had the best time. Then we headed into the stadium to get our seats and listen to the Prophet. It was so amazing to be that close to hear him speak. The kids felt like he was looking at them directly. The spirit was strong in there for sure. Afterwards we headed out of there as quickly as we could but we were so hungry. So being the naughty parent that I am - we went through the In-N-Out drive though. Funny how we weren't the only naughties around, the whole place was filled with families in church clothes at 10pm - we all had the same starving idea! It was a very special day indeed and absolutely worth the drive and time - thank heavens Jared was in Taiwan because he never would have gone - ha ha!

Emma was actually able to go mutual for once and they went to Feed My Starving Children! Emma and Maddie ignoring me on Superbowl Sunday when its picture taking time! Suzy Willyerd hosted a cookie decorating class for fun and so Emma and I joined my cousins and we went! Tyler and Tyson did another season of Winter Soccer, but this time it was Excel. They loved it. They take it pretty seriously! Tyson was team captain at this game and I got a picture of it.

BIZ TOWN & BROKEN THUMB!

What a damn day! Jared flew out bright and early this morning before anyone got up to go to Taiwan. Today was BIZ Town for the twins field trip. I was lucky enough to chaperone them. Tyson was a banker and Tyler was a warehouse CEO. He even had to give a speech in front of all the 5th graders there - that made me the most proud! He did so good. The boys had to dress professional this day. They looked so handsome. I got a call from Haley that Eli got hurt during recess. He had a good gash on his face and then his hand was hurting him, but they were icing his hand and did what they could for his face. The nurse said he was fine, but just wanted to give me a heads up. I carried on about my day on the field trip and then I got another call that She thinks this time his hand might be broken and I needed to come and pick him up. So I said my goodbyes to the twins and their teacher and I left to go back to Haley and pick up Eli. I had to have RJ call and give the school permission for me to take Alyza as well. So I picked them both up and we headed to OSPI so the doctor could xray his hand and see what was going on. Turned out he broke his thumb. Seems like a pretty rough game of basketball that day! Then we went to Sodalicious to get a drink to relax for a minute! The day only continued to get better. That night I got to go to work to do a receiving shift. During work I got a call from Emma that she may have hit a car - she wasn't sure, but was going to handle it on her own. Long story short, she didn't - phew - dang parked cars at the cheer gym. That night when I got off at 2am I went home, kissed my kids goodnight and then proceeded to watch tv for an hour and then finally went to sleep. When I got up the next morning to head to work, I finally had my first chance to talk to Jared on the phone. I burst into tears. He was gone for 24 hours and it was a mess. I held it all together until he talked to me, then I lost it. I love him so much. We hung up the phone and I shook it off and decided I was going to make the rest of the 10 days my bitch and I wouldn't let it beat me.

JARED GOES TO TAIWAN FOR 10 DAYS!

Jared was quite nervous to go to Taiwan for work. Intel gave him a ton of shots in preparation for it, hooked him up with a medical kit full of medicines he might need, flew him there first class on his 15 hour flight, he went with some co-workers and they spent the first few days touring around and exploring it. Then it was off to work. Jared  played it safe and ate at the hotel mostly and was the only one who didn't get sick. He loved sending us all his pictures from all over. We surely missed him while he was gone, but glad he got this adventure!
