It was a successful day at the Pinewood Derby races this morning! All 3 boys got to compete for the first time, all 3 boys were winners and all 3 boys were all smiles! We may have been accused of cheating by a few people in the ward who were just jealous of our winning streak...but I assured them that the boys picked out the color of paint for their cars, the design and sat there and watched Brother Brice build their cars for them - ha ha! They did do the secret finishing touches at home that sealed the deal for them. Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Jensen for coming and watching them!

EASTER!
Easter is always a busy, busy weekend filled with tons of family and Easter egg hunting! This year was the same! Easter egg hunting at Regina's house, Easter egg hunting at Nathan's house, Easter Egg hunting at our house and Easter egg hunting at Grandma and Grandpa Rodgers house - I only ever got one Easter egg hunt growing up! And of course each hunt involves food! Find Grandpa Rodgers and look at him closely - pretty sure several eggs are hiding on him somewhere! ha ha!

POM AND CHEER BANQUET!
The cheer banquet was so nice! The girls all looked so great! I love watching Emma be so happy. She earned the freshman most improved award - at first I was a little butt hurt over it cause it sounds like she stinks, but the coach explained it was because she started out as a base and then a girl quit and a girl got hurt she had to become a flyer and she was amazing! She really was too! She was always getting compliments because she was so confident up there and not shaky! Flying grew her love for this sport! Her coach - Coach Asay - has become like another mom to her and has been her biggest fan. She helps her when she can and always has her back. This year was crazy and she was there every step of the way! Emma has given up on our her goal of becoming a pommie - she just wants to cheer - she has found her niche

TOUGH MUDDERS!
Tough Mudders right here! Harder than I thought! More fun than I thought! Thirstier than I thought! But sign me up again!
I may have limped the rest of the day after my knees got slammed several times into muddy hills, etc, but it was an amazing experience. Every time we showed up to an obstacle I thought how in the heck am I going to be able to do that, but with determination and your team and strangers you are able to accomplish these seemingly un-achievable things! It was so empowering. I must have asked Jared 20 times that day - "aren't you so proud of me!?" Next time instead of the half - I am going for the full! Balls to the walls baby!

EMMA AND BIANCA!
We have been looking for the perfect jeep to buy for Emma to drive when she turns 16, but I wanted to buy it early because I do a lot of driving around and I don't need to put all the miles on the Armada so we thought buying it early would be great to put the miles on. We finally found the one I wanted - white jeep and black top! After we get it new tires, new fluids and built the paver driveway on the side of her house - it cost us more than we wanted to spend, but we are quite happy with it! Jared thought it would be awesome for her to learn how to drive on the car she would be driving - "empowering" for her is the word he used. Bianca (as named by Emma - which is white in spanish, but made it a girl's name) is a stick shift! I think she should learn how to drive first and then learn stick, but Jared had other ideas. We went to the church parking lot and the boys played ball while Jared taught her all the mechanics of a stick shift - stuff I don't even need to know - stuff no one needs to know - but he taught her because that's what he does! She never got to actually use the gas the first time, but me and the boys got to push it from behind so she could learn how to break. Well she slammed the breaks so hard cause she has no idea how to brake that all of our heads slammed into the back of the jeep! It was hilarious! This is gonna be a stressful thing! Heaven help us all!
