Eli: Mom, how do you get pregnant?

Me: ummm, ask your dad

Eli: Dad knows?

Me: ya he does

Eli: Ok cause I thought you would know cause you are a girl and you get pregnant

ME: ya ask dad - he knows

OUTSIDE TUNA FISH!

I hate - nay - abhor food from the ocean - Jared is trying to eat healthier - I sort of commend him for that - except for when he wants to eat tuna - IT STINKS!!! it stinks up my whole house. He is now banned to eating tuna outside - I feel extra bad because now even the boys like it - and the poor kids are all willing to go outside and eat this stinky crap - what good healthy sports they are!

TEEN ELECT!

It was Emma's first time going to Teen Elect - I was so excited for her - not because Teen Elect is anything super amazing, but because you always have great stories to share with your friends after and you will laugh about it for the rest of your life - it is a for sure a Mormon Memory Must!

Emma invited some girls for the beehive class (Hoku, Anni, Sage, Jaeden, Noelle) to come and meet at our house and drive together. On the way over I made sure each girl had a piece of gum for themselves and for the stinky breath boy they would be dancing with. They practiced what to say to gently offer the gum to the stinky boy and I showed them how to smile at their friend to have them check and make sure they had no food in their teeth!

Emma ate dinner with Tatum Gooch and Kaitlyn Tilton and hung out with a bunch of different girls - I love that she has so many different circles of friends - its a good thing!

When it was over I picked up all the girls and we went to Frost for a treat and then to rehash the night - I learned who was cute and who was drippy sweaty and shaky. Good times with these girlies!

NATIONAL LEFT HANDED DAY!

It's the only day dedicated to left handed people - the other 364 days are for us righties! Well - since 2 boys are officially left handed and one uses both trying to be like this brothers - Jared thought it best that we celebrate them. I really had no idea how to celebrate left handed day - so I made a sign, set the dinner table backwards and we ordered an ice cream cake from cold stone to celebrate - the boys thought it was awesome! Good idea daddy!

AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR!

The boys are slightly obsessed with the show American Ninja Warrior and find themselves thinking the obstacles look so easy and then during commercial breaks they run to a wall and try to climb up it - it was funny and cute at first - but after finding 3 separate dirty foot prints on different walls - I am over it!

NATE'S CABIN!

Nathan and Jenn are building a cabin up in Christopher Creek and he is doing a lot of the work himself so on occasion the Jensen brothers go up and help him. This time though it was all play and no work and the little kids were invited to go! They had the best time and can't wait to go back again! (This little trip cost us $400

in quad repairs - ya Eli no more riding quads into trees ya numb nut!)

BYU COUGARETTE CAMP!

Emma has been waiting a year for this - once we found out such a thing existed she got super excited but you have to be 13 - so she anxiously waited to turn 13 and then got to go for her birthday - the girl was PUMPED! She counted down the days on her BYU Cougarette calendar.

Saturday night we just found out what group Emma made at DC2 and she was not happy about it at all - totally bummed to say the least. Stacia went over and told her and talked to her Saturday night because we did not want her getting on that plane to Utah the next morning and not focusing on her experience and how she had been looking forward to it for so long. Jared gave her a blessing at 4am on Sunday morning and then we hit the road for the airport.

DC2 who?!?! She was not even thinking about that and all focused on where she was which was exactly what we wanted. Emma and Grandma stayed with Ashley, Blake and Abigail Sunday and then the next morning Ashley got up and made her a yummy breakfast and they were off to BYU!

She got all checked in and even let Ashley walk her to class and Ashley stayed a few minutes to take some pictures for me since I asked her too but she had her first experience with a crazy dance mom :)

Emma was far to busy to talk to me all day - which was a bittersweet thing - I was sad to not be able to hear how her first day was but thrilled she was having the time of her life and not missing us. She went up there with no friends so our fingers were crossed she would have a nice roommate and find some nice friends.

Since this was Emma's trip I don't have much to write about it but I know before she flew home I was already warned by Grandma and then Emma that she will be going next year - it was the best thing she has ever done!

Emma's notes:
I just finished Cougarette camp and I'm about to cry bc in so sad it's
over 😭😭😭 on the bright side 4 out of 3 of the Cougarettes knew me
by name and went out of their way to watch me and correct me! the 3
that knew me from corrections were Pyper (Pyps) (my fav. focused and
helped me the most), Jaylee, & Olivia. the other one who know me by
name was Kenna, Green Machine leader (my dance group/team name).
Maizey, Lizzie (from Texas) and Keanna were on Green Machine with me.
my counselor group was "Caitlin's Crazy Cougars" (CCC) and the girls
in it were Emma Plank, Keanna (my two favs), Ellie, Maizey, Mae, and
Hailey. Ellie and Maizey were my friends too. Emma is one of the
sweetest girls ever and without her I wouldn't have made friends with
Keanna, Ellie, or Maizey!
