PEPSI ON THE FLOOR!

You know those days where you wake up with a great plan of attack and then one thing after another happens and your plans are out the window, so you decide to get a 44oz pepsi with 3 shots of vanilla in it to make the day a little better, and it does help, but then you turn your back on your drink and before you know it your 3 little buddies spill it....ya, i guess today will have to be laughed off as a day that will not go according to my fantastic plans and give my boys kisses because some day i will miss it when they are gone and don't make messes and spill my little bit of happiness smile emoticon gotta love it!

JENN'S CABIN!

So the only exciting plans we had for spring break this year was to go up to Show Low to stay at Jenn's cabin for a few days. It's always nice to get away from the usual daily tasks and just lounge about, ride quads and the ranger, read books, watch movies, etc.

On the way up we made a quick pit stop in Payson and happen to park right next to a fire truck and the fire fighters let the kids climb in :)
All the cousins got a long well and enjoyed hanging out with each other!
Emma and Maddie were often found hiding out playing Monster High Dolls in the little secret hideout up in the loft...or outside building their own little club house (these girls clubhouses pale in comparison to the amazing ones I used to make, ha ha)

I regret not taking more pictures and especially of the boys riding around on little quads. Eli and Tyler LOVED it! All the kiddos loved the ranger rides (I even let Emma and Maddie drive for a few minutes on nice flat ground, ya those girls aren't ready for licenses anytime soon!)

We ended the trip a day early because there was a big snow storm coming in, but then we carried on the fun to our house and pretended we were still out of town and got sonic, pizza, rented movies and had Maddie still stay with us! It was a great little get away!

SPRING TRAINING BASEBALL!

Eli has really been into baseball lately. He wants to practice it 24/7. So we decided to drop Em and the twins off at Grandma and Grandpa's house and take Eli to his first spring training baseball game. We got there well before it started so Eli could watch the players practice, get an autograph, toss around the ball with his dad and just chill. He loved it. We ended up sitting with all the Germaine girls and hanging out with them. Eli did not care that much for the grass seats, but once he moved to a regular seat without the sun directly in his eyes he really got into the game. He was calling foul balls, telling us if the players hit a double or not, he loved it. He didn't want to go. Jared already promised to take him to another real baseball game and that's how we got the boy to leave with us! "Go Rodgers!" (As Eli kept calling them :)Fingers crossed he doesn't puke tonight from his mike-n-ikes, pizza, sno cone and italian ice!

EMMA TURNS DOUBLE DIGITS!

I don't remember turning 10 and thinking it was so awesome because I was now double digits, but Emma was pretty excited about it so I am sure I was to back then. 10. I can't believe she is 10. I can't imagine my life without her, but at the same time it seems like she was just born.

This year for her birthday party she wanted it to be a Zumba Birthday party. We hired the sweetest gym Zumba instructor Shelly to come over and teach the girls how to Zumba. We got the girls all little belly dancing skirts as their party favor, we played some Dance Central Xbox Kinect, had a dessert table, dinner table and did some silly string. The party went by so fast we didn't even have time to open up presents, oops. Emma loved her party and that made the 12 hours the day before spent on her party all worth it :)

Zumba
Silly String
A little hula lesson
 Food tables

The next day we decided to eat dinner outside, the kids loved it and then we ended up singing Happy Birthday to Emma and doing candles and cake and a couple of gifts that night too!

The next day was Emma's actual birthday. My dad came and babysat the boys all day so I could go with Emma on her school field trip. We went to the zoo and I got to hang out with her, when we got off the bus she asked if she could hold my hand, I guess double digits doesn't make you to old for that, yes!

I wasn't allowed to bring treats this year since they were going to be gone all day on a field trip and then when they got back there wasn't going to be enough time, but I still wanted the kids to know it was her birthday so I got her a birthday sash to wear around all day. I heard her say to some friends, ""I can't even begin to imagine how much this sash cost!" I quick to pipe in, "well, imagine it cost a dollar, cause that's how much it was!"
Emma's little group I got to chaperone on the field trip (Kinslee, Elizabeth, Julia, Hannah, Emma, Brenna and Carolyn (we will talk about Carolyn later in another blog - don't like her!!)
I was naughty and brought sodas for our lunch, she liked it, I needed it, ha ha.
After school we took Emma out to Joe's BBQ for dinner and then she wanted to go to 2 hours of dance still that night (she missed the other 2)  and then after dance we came home and she opened up the rest of her presents and found out that one of them is her favorite cousin of all time, Abby, is going to fly down in April and hang out with her, she jumped up and down for a while about that one! Happy Birthday Emma! We sure do love you!

KID DATE NIGHT!

So a couple of weeks ago all the kids had birthday parties to go to at night, Eli and Emma each had one one night and then the next night the twins had one. We took that opportunity to take the kids not a party out to dinner and try to spend a little one on one time with them, or at least with only half of them.
The first night we didn't have much time because Jared didn't to get back home for his soccer game so we gave the twins some choices and they picked Paradise Bakery. They were funny. They had a great time and just kept being silly all night long.

The next night we asked Emma and Eli were they wanted to go and Eli wanted white noodles with broccoli (fettuccine alfredo) and Emma wanted pizza....so we went to NYPD Pizza and they were each able to get what they wanted. It was really fun to go there with just the two of them and really get to talk to them and listen to their little stories and not have to worry about asking 2 little cuties to "be quiet", "eat your dinner", "don't play drums with your spoons" etc.

Here is a picture with me and my boyfriend that night - isn't he a cutie!

and here is a few pictures of Jared and his little girlfriend, yes there is a few pictures because we kept making fun of Jared's face in all of them so we kept retaking them and since I am an awesome wife, I am going to post them all :)

We really had a great time taking the kids out like this and we hope to be able to do it more often!

PRESCHOOL GRADUATION!

Well it was the first of 3 preschool graduations for the twins, ha! They finished up their first round of Apples to Zebras. They LOVED it! On the last day of school the teacher asked me if I had registered them for the next semester and I told her yes and then she looked at me and said, "can we separate them?" I think she could tell by the look on my face that I went into a slight panic mode because she quickly followed it up with, "oh not in separate classrooms, just separate tables..." I looked at her and said, "ya I guess so, I don't care." She said, "we want to try and get the boys to be more independent of each other so we wanted to get your permission to try and separate them!" Good luck lady, that's all I have to say. Go for it. 5 bucks says, they will find away to be back together and have the last laugh on her, they don't separate, sorry.
The graduation was short and sweet. They sang songs, well Tyson sang songs and smiled and did a few actions while Tyler sat there and stared at the audience and barely moved his mouth sometimes. These boys are besties and complete opposites, they crack me up!

(I don't know why they were smiling so weird and the camera angle is horrible so its sorta a funky picture, but I like that their arms are around "each udder" (other))
