YES! IT'S FINALLY MY TURN!

99 out of 100 times, I hear how great daddy is (for the record children when you read this and you are older, I set up all those really cool things for you to do with your dad - it was all me! You are welcome :), but this time, Eli got Emma to type what he said to me in a letter:

Hello Mom

Mom, you are funny.

Mom is more awesome than Daddy. Mom can beat Dad.

Love Eli

I am totally more awesome than dad and I can for beat him, thanks for noticing how strong I am buddy :)

I HAVE A DREAM!

I know it will sound lame...it's not a dream where all men are created equal, it's not to stop world hunger...it's just a simple dream of a stay-at-home chandler mom!

My dream since November 2010 has been to re-do my kitchen. White cupboards, gray walls, black and white curtains and something to match for my chandelier shades.

I won't finance it. I want to pay cash for it. Some how 2011 has been the year of repairs at our house :/ So it seems that this dream will continue to be a dream and not a reality any time soon.

The purpose for this going on the blog is because I am realizing its becoming sorta trendy and I wanted to post on here so that someday when I do do it, you will know I was not a copier or on the tale end of the fad - I was at the beginning, a year ago. Sigh.

Mother/Daughter Halloween Activity!

Emma and I got to go to a Mother/Daughter Activity and it happened to be a Halloween party. We lived it up. We ate yummy mexican food, we played games, had costume contests and then, oh yes, Emma and I skipped out and headed off to the mall to go shopping for her new glitter TOMS she has been asking for :) I love me some good Emma time away with the regular life (like chores and dance).

POWDER PUFF PINEWOOD DERBY!

Our stake did a Powder Puff Derby and all the Activity Day girls and their dads got to build and race pinewood derby cars. Emma was pretty excited about it. We encouraged her to make a car that was a reflection of herself. She made a ballet shoe, very appropriate I would say :)

Jared and Emma didn't spend a whole lot of time on it. They just did it one night and never bothered to weigh it or try to make it fast. They ended up in 3rd place for our ward. Emma was THRILLED beyond belief. Jared felt bad he didn't spend any time on it. Next year he is going to try and beat this year's time!Grove 2nd Ward's carsOn your mark, get set, go!Emma and Maddy(Before anyone judges Emma's clothes, she left dance in the middle of practice to go and race and then she headed straight back to dance afterwards.)

NUTRIOSO WITH THE HALLS!

The Halls invited us to go up with them to their cabin in Nutrioso which is 20 minutes outside of Springerville and Eager and 20 minutes from New Mexico. We were super excited to go with them because all of our kids match up with their kids and it would be great for the twins to get to experience the mountains for once!

We drove up Wednesday as soon as I got home from school and right after Eli's party (it was an insane 2 days preparing for school, a birthday party, working at the studio and getting ready for the cabin). It was an amazing cabin, we absolutely loved it! It is just plenty of fun for us to go away up north and hang out in a cabin but this cabin had everything. It had a game room with air hockey, ping pong, a playground out back, zip line, basketball, sleds, fishing and quads! Our boys were seriously in heaven! Emma and Anni did crafts and just had fun together and Jared and I were just loving how happy everyone was and how well every one got along and how easy that made it for us (except for bedtime, that like always is a little rough)!

The weather was the coldest it had been since last winter. 30 and 40 degrees, but that didn't stop these guys from loving being outside almost every minute possible! Tyson and Nash playing.
The boys just playing outside
Lots of quad riding
Ok, I know I like to point out all the time how my twins love each other but seriously, check this out, they are holding hands and have their legs wrapped around each other! (ok, heart just melted!)
Emma zip lining! (I am sorry I don't have a picture of Eli because that was probably his most favorite thing!! He LOVED it!)
Tyson was smart and only spent about half his time outside, it was to "coldy" for him. Tyler went out every second he could but would always come in to "nuggle" and get warm!
Adam and Jared took all the kids fishing except for Nash, Tyson and Warner (we kept them home to make it easier on the dads and really Tyson could care less he was busy crafting, ha ha!) All of my kiddos caught a fish and they loved it! Tyler seriously caught one all by himself! Emma did really well with the fish and only freaked out when they were gutting it and the guts squirted all over her face!

ELIAS TURNS 5!

The boy has been waiting to turn 5 FOREVER!! He was so excited for his birthday week. We had a lot of things planned for him, cupcakes at preschool, a birthday party the next day, celebrating his birthday up at a cabin, then coming home and doing a little family party here. But, when it was all said and done, he thought the day of his party was his actual birthday and he got so many presents there we just ran with that idea. So we continued to tell him "Happy Birthday!" all day long and acted like it was his day. We did not end up celebrating it up at the cabin or when we got home on Sunday, he didn't notice or care but in the end, Jared and I felt bad. Good thing he is such a sweet and amazing boy that he doesn't realize how lame-o his parents are.

He loved his spiderman cupcakes at preschool and loved wearing the birthday crown! We did a Superhero themed birthday party since that is totally what he is into right now.Once everyone arrived we had the "Superhero Party Helpers" read us a letter left to all the kids asking for their help in defending the superhero fortress and learning how to become superheros. For the first clue they had to go out and find their "powers" which was their capes with a lightning bolt and their initial on the capes (Thanks Amy Isom for lending me your serger and teaching me how to use it and Thanks Craig for the vinyl lettering). (Emma, Maddie, Reagan, Kiki, Tyler, Logan, Trey, Cache, Eli, Zach, Aiden, Tyson and Brody)Then they had to go pass the "Spiderman Says" game in order to receive their glow in the dark sticksNext it was off to go knock down some villains in bowling and bean bag tossing games
(yes, that is Tyson and Tyler participating in the birthday games. They each threw a fit until they got to play. Tyler just folded his arms and stomped away saying, "fine, I not go to your party!" and Tyson just ran around in circles crying like a baby and shouting something at all of us and non of us could understand). The next clue took us back out front to defuse the bombs left by Green Goblin (water balloon fight)Finally it was time for the best part of all...the pinata time :)Presents! (Eli seriously is the sweetest boy ever. It's his party and when all his guests left, he left his brothers each pick out one of his new toys and use it as their own. He didn't even complain one time about them taking his new presents, he has such a big heart!)Finally the party was coming to an end and Denise brought us pizzas and we had drinks and cupcakes! After all his superhero friends had left, he crashed. Parties are exhausting for kids and adults :) Happy Birthday Eli! We love you so much. You mean the world to us. We love how smart, loving and kind you are. We love how much you have grown this last year with your athletic ability. Your little brothers look up to you so much and love to follow you around, we hope you continue to be a great example to them and play a big part in their lives! Love, Mom and Dad.Elias' stats:
weight: 44.8 pound - 75%
height: 42 3/4 inches - 50%

51 Weeks ago Tyson fell outside climbing up a metal railing. Jared came in the house holding him while he was crying and since I blogged the whole story last year I will just skip to the part how his front tooth broke in half and now half of it is fake.

Now fast forward to 51 weeks later, Tyson woke up with a little swollen lip and he was complaining it hurt, wasn't eating normal and had a random fever off and on for the last few days. Luckily for us, Dr Parry saved the day, yet again. He took a look at him and discovered he had a tooth abscess from falling almost a year ago. He called in an antibiotic for him and then we took Tyson back to the dentist a few days later when the swelling had gone down and Dr Parry went in and cleaned it out, put in some antibiotic stuff and worked a little magic.

Fingers crossed we are out of the woods. If not, we have to go to a pediatric dentist and either have a root canal done or get his tooth pulled (I already asked about a flipper just in case, ha ha). Otherwise we just go back in 6 months for a follow-up x-ray which we will have to do from here on out until his tooth falls out. Seriously, boys are a lot more rambunctious than girls!

Tyson was such a little lovey at the dentist. He kept holding the assistants hand while she prepped him.
So brave...all doneCheck out Tyson - crashed out after a long dental appointment, but it's ok because he made out like a bandit, he made sure to get little prizes for him and Tyler.
