PEPSI = PAIN RELIEVER!

Last night I went to bed with a splitting headache, I didn't take anything for it because I usually don't (I have a fear of dying of an overdose - don't ask). I figured when I woke up in the morning it would be gone like usual. I woke up, headache still there. I went to go take something but my adorable husband had taken all of our drugs with him leaving me with only Ibuprofen and stool softeners - yippee.

I called a friend to bring me 1 excedrin to the gym this morning but she didn't have any so after I was done working out I called another friend and she didn't have any either. Most people would have hopped in the car and went and grabbed some from the store, but not me, I got a 44oz fountain cherry pepsi instead and now my headache is gone. :)

THE SECOND SET OF TEARS!

Today we had our second tears shed for daddy. This time Tyler woke up screaming and crying in his bed for Daddy and even when I went in there and picked him up, he continued to cry for him. (I put the twins in the bean bag together and Tyson comforted Tyler). Then, after Eli's nap, he woke up crying for dad.

New rule - no naps!

GOOD NEWS MINUTE!

I don't really have anything to post today but I can't stop my goal only 4 days into so I will just say that we had a good day today. Emma brought home her report card with straight A's. Eli started up soccer again so between that and preschool he will have something to look forward to 5 days a week. The Twinkies well, they have been cracking me up. For example, yesterday in church they were playing with a magnetic puzzle together and sharing ever so nicely and then Eli went up to them and asked if he could have some and in unison they both said, "no E-Y, just us!" (I know, it might not sound very funny, but I loved how they said the same thing at the same time and just kept right on playing without skipping a beat.)

NAP TIME AND PRAYER!

Since I am temporarily playing the part of the mother and the father, I took one for the team and did just what Jared would do if he were here. I put the twins down for a nap, played a game with Emma and Eli and then Emma got on the computer and me and Eli took a nap together! (I hate naps, but it felt like a nice thing to do since I was tired and I pretended that I needed to do it for Eli's sake cause his dad would do it - at least that was my excuse!)

Here is Eli's simple sweet prayer tonight:

Thank you that we can ride scooters.
Please bless that dad come home in 2 weeks (Jared's been telling Elias that he'll be home in 2 weeks).
That we can ride scooters togetder.
That we can take a shower togetder (the boys usually take a shower together).
That we play with the babies in the morning togetder.
That we can watch a movie and have popcorn togetder.
Amen.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WHO?!

There once was a man who lived with us who had a birthday on Jan. 8th...who was that man? where is he? hmmm, oh well we will celebrate without him anyways.

We started off with a free box of Krispy Kreme donuts, then after dance we headed over to Grandma Joyce's house and scored a couple of bags of lemons to squeeze for the missing birthday boy, then we came home for a quick nap and headed off to his birthday buddy's party (him and Marin share the same birthday), we rode a pony, enjoyed the petting zoo, had cake and then headed home for another short period of time before we were off to Grandma and Grandpa's house to have Olive Garden and celebrate Caryn's birthday. On our way home we decided why not have one more treat to make us even fatter in honor of the missing birthday boy...so we hit up DQ for some blizzards. It was quite an eventful day for us, which is a good thing, the busier we stay the faster the time goes.

We made it a whole 8 hours before the first set of tears were shed. Yesterday, Eli decided he had had enough and missed his dad but he is doing much better today.

Even though you aren't home with us Daddy, we love you and miss you and celebrated in honor of you all day long! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Eli LOVED the petting zoo. He couldn't get enough of the animals! He made sure to give each animal one last pet before they left.Emma took a bit to warm up to the animals and then she really enjoyed herself and has even requested her own petting zoo birthday party!Oh Tyler, typical Tyler. Wanted nothing to do with the animals except be held near them so he could look at them but not touch them. Instead he helped him self to treats and the monkey bars.Tyson was in the middle of loving the petting zoo until the llama starting eating his shirt, then the tears came and he wanted the heck out of there! He warmed up to them again and went back in and brushed their fur and rode the pony.

LIFE AS WE NOW KNOW IT...

With Jared's crazy new work schedule and the changes around here for the next "X" amount of months I have decided to try and make it a goal to blog every day. Not long posts or exciting posts, just something that happened during the day, good, bad and ugly.

What do you do when you say good-bye truck...Good-bye dad...Well, after the hugs, kisses, fist bumps, high fives and more kisses are done and you finally get back home....you have a dance party of course! Here is B-boy Concussion (named that for the amount of concussions this boy is going to receive in his life)B-boy TricksterThere are no pics of Tyler because he is more of a dance watcher rather than a danc-er.
