HALLOWEEN 2024!

 Halloween looked a little different this year! At Aspen they decided for everyone to be cops and robbers, but then I suggested we just buy everyone matching orange jump suits so we did and we all dressed up and lived our best thug lives! I had to dress up for work on Tuesday and Thursday and Wednesday was our ward Trunk-or-Treat so I borrowed Dr Matt's costume and Jared wore it with me! We had another pumpkin contest at work and I won again this year...Bob Ross for the win! The twins went with their friends to the JV football game and then afterwards they all headed to Addie's and did some trick-or-treating and hanging out! Eli went to Seth's house and hung out with Brasser and Kelson! I do miss taking the kids trick-or-treating! But everyone was happy that night so that's all that matters! 

CIRCLE K DRINKS & DINGLEBERRIES!

 On Sunday after church Katy and I needed a some caffeine so we went to circle k together (because I was driving her home) and as we were heading out Ireland shouted my name in the parking lot and she was there to get some drinks so katy and I went back in and bought her drinks and then texted Dr Hunsaker because he hates that we both go on Sundays and the fact that we were together was even better! Then the Stake YW President called me to give me a compliment on how great our girls are and how kind they are and asked me what I was doing to make it like that and then she mentioned how her daughter liked our ward too - so we took her a drink as well! Sometimes you have to minister to the girls with Circle K on the sabbath and it's worth it! 

Then the boys all went to Jenn's house at night for hair cuts and Tyson was walking around in the backyard on facetime helping a friend with their school project and wasn't paying attention and the dingleberry fell into the pool! He saved his phone, got all wet, Nate and Jenn took the video from their security camera and then obviously I texted it to people and then Tyson said on the group chat with me, him, Katy and Quinn..."We have beef Carol" ha ha!

FIRST TIME VOTING!

 Today I had the honor of taking Eli down to an early voting place to exercise his rights and privileges as an 18 year old American citizen! First time voter 2024! Eli voted for Trump. 

ME, JENN & JOHN STAMOS!

 Oh ya just another night hanging out with our bestie, John Stamos. Jenn found out he was doing a book tour and for $35 you could get a copy of his book, sit down while a host interviewed him and then get a picture with him!  Turns out he is actually really funny and we would be friends in real life! When Jenn and I were finally up for our turn for the pic; she went first and then held out her shirt and said, "Pachenga"! Then he looked at it and realized we had our Beach Boy concert shirts on and he asked if she went to the concert and she said yes and then he said how they played 3 or 4 shows that weekend and then asked if they were any good! Then they took their pic and then the lady shoved me in for mine and then he looked at me, looked back at Jenn and then looked back at me and asked if we were sisters! I told him how we were sister-in-laws and then he clasped his hands together in a prayer position and thanked us a few times sincerely for coming to his concert and tonight! We both felt like we had a true moment with him and then I even listened to him thank the people after us to see if he did the same thing and he did not! he like's us! ha ha! We tried to get him to sign our books afterwards...you know when we waited for him in the parking lot....some strange dude ended up waiting with us and the car stopped for a second like he wanted to sign, but then went, then stopped and then this guy just kept yelling "John John" and then the car drove on - he ruined it for us! But that's ok - it was the best night still! 

ELI & JARED QUALITY TIME!

 Eli's friends were all busy but Eli REALLY wanted to go to the range at night and hit some bucket of balls. So Jared made the most of this rare opportunity and the two of them out together and hung out! They both came back so happy! Glad they are spending time together before he graduates! 

POST MALONE'S RAISING CANES!

 The trip to Utah felt short because we would spend 2 days driving there and 2 days driving back so I tried to make the trip as fun as possible for the few days we were there. The boys LOVE Raising Canes and I knew Post Malone had one in Utah some where so I decided we needed to take them there to check it out. It was no where near us or on the way to anything, but after Jared got over his eye rolling and sighing about it...we went! It was cool to see everything pink! They loved his truck parked out front with the pink dice and the pink parking space, his guitars and the clothes he wore to his first concert. They had tubes running along the wall with pink ping pong balls going through it the whole time, parking paint in the parking lot, paink every where! Jared even splurged and bought the Posty keepsake cups! We were glad we did it! 

BABY MABEL!

 We decided to stay an extra day in Utah so we could help Bryant and Taryn with their kids and give them a break since they just had baby Mabel 2 weeks ago. Well long story short, late the night before they decided there wasn't anything we could do, but we already booked a VRBO in St George for us that night and we couldn't get a refund so we decided just to drop off dinner to them, meet Mabel and chit chat with Taryn for a bit before we headed off to St George. Sadly, everyone else was in school or at work, but it was so fun to be the first Jensens to meet her and her hold! She is so cute! 

ELI IS OFFICALLY AN ADULT!

 We told Eli the night before his birthday that it was his last chance to commit a crime and be tried as a juvenile....cause the next morning it would be a felony! ha ha! I ordered him some 18 bday decorations and the night before Jared and I spent forever blowing up the #8 balloon only to discover it had a hole in it so we went downstairs to wake him up at 12:30am and make him pose before what little air was in there was gone - ha ha! The sleeping twins were not happy about it, but Eli was still on his phone playing with Jackson. That morning Ashley got up and made him homemade Kneaders French Toast with whipped cream, strawberries and homemade carmel syrup! Then we took the boys and headed to Cedar Hills Golf Course to go golfing. Eli has been asking Jared to go golfing with him, but either Jared is busy or refuses to go golfing in 110 degree weather with Eli so this was the perfect opportunity. We got 2 golf carts and I just sat in one and drove it, took score and took pictures while the Jared and Tyler were on a team and Eli and Tyson were on a team. Eli's team won by 1 point. They had the best time golfing and Eli said he ranked it a 9 out of 10 and would have given it a 10 except he didn't play as good as he wanted! After that we headed to J-Dawgs for lunch and then we went back to Ashley's house to pick up Blake and head to Make the Jump which is a virtual sky diving and base jumping place. All the boys couldn't believe how real it felt! Blake was so kind and gave us his $400 worth of tickets for free to use! Then we went back to Blake's house and grabbed his family and went and ate at Chubby's and then headed back to Ashley's for ice cream cake, birthday song and presents! Eli got 3 vintage college shirts so he can wear them to school, got a $100 to depop so he could order more vintage clothes and then we gave him $200 to spend on the stock market since he has been excited to turn 18 and invest some money! Aunt Jenn, Aunt Ashley and both sets of grandparents spoiled him with cash as well! It was a long day, but the best day!! I think this was the perfect birthday to end on! I was stressed about how good it would be since we would be in Utah, but I think it was better than any birthday we could have given him here! We love this kid so much! So grateful for how hard he tries to be good! Grateful for his willingness to go to Mission Prep each week, to go to the temple early in the mornings with his friends, etc! Love this kid!
