HOMEMADE APPLESAUCE!

We picked a bunch of green apples from Nate's house and the boys didn't really love them plain...so we decided to make homemade applesauce with them instead. All the boys had to help chop the apples, add in the cinnamon and a little bit of sugar. They thought it looked gross but then after they tried it they relutcantly admitted it wasn't that bad! ha ha! 

BATHROOM SLAT WALL!

 I've been thinking in my mind I wanted to do a bathroom slat wall, but just kept the thoughts in my head....but now that the wedding is over and I have a small break before some big young women things come up....I am thinking it's time for a little mental break and for me....that's creating something. So I shared my thoughts outloud with Jared and of course I got the eye roll and sigh that bug me so bad...but I also know he loves me so much he is going to support me in my crazy ideas....I told him about it Monday night, Tuesday we were calling wood places, Tuesday afternoon we were buy wood, Wednesday I painted, but Thursday we stained and hung it all up! I tried to help Jared put the slats on the wall....but he wouldn't let me....I only got to hold the air gun for him - ha ha! 

TEMPLE TRIPS!

 Eli and his friends were so dedicated this school year to get up at 5:45am one day a week and go do baptisms at the temple. The Nielsons would always buy them McDonalds breakfast afterwards and then it became Eric's amazing breakfast burritos! Loved that these kids always went! Emma and her brothers were able to sneak in one last baptism trip together before she got married! Then we took our boys and Clate to do baptisms...we called it Buzz, Bleach and Baptims! Jared and I have been able to go a couple of times this summer as well after we took Emma through, we've been able to go while some other youth we love are going through for the first time! No better place we can all be than serving in the House of the Lord! 

SUMMER BASKETBALL!

 June has been filled with Summer Basketball! They had practice Monday - Thursday night! They were either with their club team or the school team! Then every weekend in June was basketball tournaments for 2 days! The boys are loving it! We are so glad it's an indoor sport so we don't have to sit outside and sweat! And it's been great watching them do so good and grow so much! 

LAKE POWELL TRIP!

 Eli finally got to join the "cool" club and become one of those people who goes to Lake Powell for the week! He had the BEST time! He spent 7 days wake surfing, wake boarding, throwing boudlers off of mountains, paddleboard yoga, survived a HUGE hail storm, etc. He thought the boat dock reminded him of the movie "Quiet Place". We threatened him if he came back sunburned he would be in big trouble and it wasn't the other moms job to remind him - he was a good boy about it! So grateful he got to go with Jackson and Tanner to do this! 

GIRLS STAYCATION!

 As each of us has helped each other with their weddings we have given each other gifts, no one expects them, it just happens. I was so stressed on a good gift to give Kati and Amber that I decided to be selfish and give what I wanted....a night away from life! Jared booked us a beautiful room at the Phoencian Resort in Scottsdale and we went up there for 24 hours and layed out by the pool, ordered poolside food and drinks, went shopping at Scottsdale mall and just escaped life! It was amazing! Love my friends! 

DBACKS GAME!

 My work gave everyone a ticket plus a guest to the Dbacks game and you got $15 per ticket too so you could buy food! I was able to sneak an extra ticket so we could take Eli with us! We had the BEST time! He was so talkative to Jared. The two of them sat there the whole time talking baseball! He let me walk in and out of the stadium with my arm wrapped around him! He is the best and I love any quality time we get to spend with him! 

TYSON GOT HIS FIRST JOB!

 Tyson really wants a talaria and we told him he had to save up his money and buy it himself. So he went and got himself a job at Water-N-Ice where the other ward kids work. Its just at the end of Grapefruit so he could walk or ride his bike there and he works with all people his age! He loves when he comes home and gets to tell us how much he made in tips! 

TWINS TURN 16!

 16!! These babes of mine turned 16 today! We love them immensely! I loved getting to spend the day with these two! We drove around for a bit getting their birthday freebies and they were so chatty in the car and cracking me up! I think they should start every day with breakfast in bed and presents to open so they are always in a good  mood! At night we took them to dinner at Joe's Farm Grill and then we went to Pecan Lakes to do the ropes course! The 3 boys ran around the whole time loving it and then we ended the night with ice cream from the BYU Creamery! (Tyler's big gift was the Kobe shoes and Tyson's big gift was his JNCO shorts!)
