8th GRADE SOCCER!

Eli tried out for 8th grade soccer - he made the team of course! This kid doesn't play club anymore or really soccer anymore - only plays when its time for jr high soccer and he makes it every time against club kids - he is so naturally talented at soccer - lucky kid!

He started on defense every game! If he came out of the game he would stand on the sidelines and watch - usually with his hands resting on his head - I think it was his body language itching to get back into the game! ha ha!

Sadly, they lost in the first round of playoffs - they lost in the second overtime with 10 seconds left in the game - it was a nail biter!! I truly hope this is not the last time I will see him play on the field - hopefully he can do it in high school! So glad he got to play this year with his buddies Derek Bashford and Brody Matheny!

SODALICIOUS!

I switched over from being a mixologist to working in the bakery with ladies my own age! The job sucked! It hurt our back, rolling all these dough balls, lifting all the flour, cleaning, doing dishes, etc, but these ladies made it a BLAST!! We talked smack, made jokes, vented, sang obnoxiously, all the things to make work fun!!

SPRING BREAK CABIN TRIP!

Since Emma was going to be home for a week for her birthday and the wedding, I wanted to do something fun and we asked Nathan if we could spend the weekend at his cabin and lucky for us he said yes and even luckier for us - it snowed the whole time! Emma got more snow at the cabin than she has in Utah - ha ha.

We played JackBox, watched movies together, went sledding, rode razors, Indian leg wrestled, all the kids tried to wrestle their dads - Jared lasted longer than Nathan,  etc. It's always a good relaxing vacation at the cabin! Oh and Emma tried to join the Buttercream gang - but she was pretty successful since she ended up in my hoodie and taking it home - ha ha! (to be fair, she ordered me a replacement - I just don't have it yet!)

WHIT'S WEDDING AND EMMA'S 19TH BIRTHDAY!

Whitney Parry got married to Ben Clements on Emma's 19th birthday! It worked out great because then we got to have Emma home for her birthday. The night before the wedding we did a rehearsal dinner at Sodalicious and had Rudy's BBQ and Emma and I did all the drinks at cookies at Sodalicious. Then the day of the wedding Emma and I went and waited outside the Temple for them and then went to their house and helped get everything ready for the reception. The Parrys were very sweet to remember it was Emma's birthday and sang to her, told her happy birthday and even had the DJ announce her and play a song. We had so much fun as a family at the wedding reception. We danced, ate, laughed and made memories to last a lifetime. I really enjoyed being there that week and helping to put everything together, helping Payton with her dress, cleaning Whitney's wedding dress, etc. It's best when you get to help those you love. Jared and I loved being able to go to her endowment session (first time we had been in a year due to covid closures) and getting to be the witness couple!

The next day we spent it at a BMX park for Hank Halibson's birthday, then we spent the afternoon and evening watching Eli play baseball and then on Sunday (2 days after Emma's actual birthday) we celebrated with dinner, an ice cream cake and presents and then Emma and I watched a romcon! It was the best weekend together as a family!
