PINEWOOD DERBY!

The twins 2nd Pinewood Derby races! They were very excited! They had a lot of fun. Tyson's car came in 3rd overall for our ward and Tyler's car came in 4th overall. I am not sure what was more fun for them - racing the cars or eating all the donuts afterwards!

APRIL RANDOMS!

This month we had a lot of random things go on. Jared and Eli went on a 5 mile hike together for 11 year old scouts! Emma had cheer tryouts and afterwards her, Sydney, Lacey, me and Aja went to Bahama Bucks. Jared took the twins up to the cabin and Emma and Eli stayed home with me. Eli got to have a couple of friends over after school and I bought them DQ and pizza and they played Fortnite and he pretty much thought it was the best afternoon of all and asked to have friends over more! Emma, Anni and Jaeden got ready for Youth Conference together. Emma went over to Maddie's house and helped her get ready for Perry's prom #maddiesglamsquad. If pantsing a boy wasn't enough - he also called a kid "mental" as a joke and another boy heard him and told on him so Eli had to write us a note - it's hilarious. While Emma is still going through her butt therapy - I dragged her out to the store late one Saturday night with me and she hurt so bad she climbed into my cart! Emma recieved a letter that she was eligible for NHS and so we applied and we were told by many people Perry NHS is a beast to get into. We filled out the application, had Annette look it over, got every signature, etc and she was rejected. She took a picture of the letter and texted it to us and then when I got home I found it waded up in a ball - ha ha! I got more mad the more I thought about it and so I sent an email to appeal it. No response. So I sent another one and then the guy called me. Emma did great on everything, but she was only in 4 things at Perry and not 5 - insert really large eye roll. The man suggested we sign up for Harry Potter club next year and then she will make the requirements - because cheer, link crew, key club and STEM isn't enough but Harry Potter really seals the deal. Jared and Emma both pulled up to the same intersection at the same time coming from different places. Jared said it was very trippy to see her - ha ha! The twins are 9 and will be 10 in 2 months and they still sit like this to watch tv!

ELI MADE NEWS CREW!

After Eli ran for Student Body Secretary for 5th grade and his posters were bomb, but sadly he lost to a kid who promised fidget spinner fridays (of course right after the election the school banned stupid fidge spinners) but anyways after Eli was done being devestated, he decided to apply for News Crew! He was so excited when he got selected! He served on it all year and loved it! But I am the worst mom and forgot to post about it last year so it's going on this year's blog! Congratulations Eli we were so proud of you! Glad you liked it - even though you didn't want to do it again in 6th grade! Lazy bones! ha ha!

BAEHR PARKINSONS OBSTACLE COURSE RACE!

Grandpa Rodgers asked us to join the race with him last year, but every Saturday we are busy with sports. This year he asked again and I felt like it was really important to him, so we bit the bullet and had the twins miss their basketball game so me and the twins could go race with grandpa. We are so glad we did - the boys had a blast! Grandpa's team name was "Beach Bodies" so they had funny shirts for us to wear - the twins were to embarrassed so they took theirs home, but if grandpa was brave enough to rock his - then I could be brave enough to rock mine! Tyson didn't get the memo that we were going to do the obstacles only first and then run the 1.5 mile trail afterwards so as soon as the race started, he took off like a bat out of hell. He never looked back and followed two adults who took the trail. We lost him for a while and couldn't find him. Called his name on the speaker, etc. Finally we see him running back from the trail and this little 9 year old was first to finish the whole thing! Crazy kid! Then Tyler and I went and ran the trail and then when we got back the twins wanted to race the obstacles one more time so we didn't again, including Grandpa - he kicked some serious booty! Hopefully next year we can get more family out there to do it too! We love our grandpa!
