HALLOWEEN!

Halloween! It's full of traditions! We did our Jensen Halloween sugar cookie decorating, the kiddos made monsters out of rice krispy treats (I might have attempted to make them 3 times and after the third batch failed I ran to the store and bought them!), trick-or-treating with the Parrys, Intel work party (we didn't have enough time to put together the fat suits the boys wanted to wear - so I grabbed other costumes and Tyler ended up a bank robber in Emma's black shirt and Eli was Where's Waldo - also in Emma's shirt - I had the best laugh and they didn't care cause they got candy) and pumpkin carving! Next year the kids have to go back to traditional pumpkin faces - this elaborate thing doesn't work out very good for us - we ended up going through 6 pumpkins to get 4 usable ones! Jared gagged having to clean out the guts - so I manned up and did it - and he washed dishes - what a pansy. We might have held pumpkin guts in our hands up to Jared's face to tease him! The best was watching Jared watch Emma do her rice krispy monsters - he stood back and had a slight smile on his face and he watched her create her master piece. Then he had to take a pic of it - I tried to get a pic of him being proud, but I didn't get it in time. When the twins were little we should coordinate our costumes with the Parrys, but then the kids all had their own ideas of what they wanted to be, some how this year, we pulled off couples outfits again! Tyson and Payton were Harry Potter and Hermione! Eli was Pat Tillman. Emma was Rosie the Riveter. And my favorite - Tyler and Chiara went as Squints and Wendy Peffercorn from the movie Sandlot! We think Tyler really loved being Squints cause he got away with being nerdy and it took so much pressure off of him. Good times had by all! Happy Halloween!

 

 

 

 

 

LIL' PUMA CLINIC!

Emma had her Lil' Puma Clinic! She is so lucky we have so many friends who sign their daughters up for this so she has quite the fan base there! She loves it and them and they love her back!

NERF GUN FHE!

Thanks to my Megan posting her son's birthday party on facebook - I decided that looked like an amazing idea and so we copied it! We got the Jolleys, Halls, Cardons and Ensmans to join us. Lucikly Julie was opening her gym in a week so she had a TON of boxes and we just took them all from her. Borrowed a church key from someone secret and everyone brought a treat to share and we let the nerf bullets go flying! The kids loved it! (sadly, I am horrible at taking pictures, dang it!)

DENTISTS & DOCTORS!

Besides all the fun - during break we had to do the usual dental appointments and well visits. October sucks cause it's not just a well visit for Eli - it's also flu shots for everyone! Poor Tyler had to go back twice to the dentist and get numbed both times - he has anxiety about it and then we also had to get flu shots! He was not happy when we showed up and he realized what was going to happen. I tried to make it extra fun by hanging out with the Parrys beforehand - but the fun was soon forgotten when he knew he was getting a shot. He handled it like a champ for the first time ever! No kicking, screaming, hitting, etc. Such a brave kid! ha! Of course we had to hit up Sodalicious afterwards for a treat/reward!

AZ SCIENCE CENTER!

Jared took the boys to the science center one day over break! They had a blast!
