JEEPING AND SHOOTING!

Jared, Jon and Miguel took a bunch of kids and went jeeping out at Sycamore and then they shot some guns for a bit - no one really last that long - maybe a little over an hour - the Jensen boys are die hards apparently because they stayed for a total of 4 hours! When I came home after them the boys had layed out each target on my bed as gifts to me - ha ha! Thanks!

MY RUNNING BUDDY!

This boy has been bugging me all week to go running with him - lucky for him I have a blizzard at home with my name on it so I thought a quick 1.5 mile run with this cutie would be a good idea - even if it is 8:30pm! Love him and how he likes to talk about how great he is at this :)

VERDE RIVER!

We got invited by some people in our new Appleby ward to go to the Verde River. It was quite a drive, but worth it for the kids. They all had such a great time, floating in the river, swinging on the tire swings, playing with squirt guns, canoeing, eating, etc. Even Emma came with us, but I didn't get a picture of her - I am the worst!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Last day of Junior High for this little girl of mine. The Last full week of school was rough at our house - Tyson was home sick from school for 5 days with the flu, Then Tyler was home for 2 days and then on the very last day I got sick with the flu. I didn't get to go to Emma's 8th grade promotion - I was sad about that. Lucky for her - her dad and both grandmas went - unlucky for her - despite me texting Jared a million times, he still didn't remember to take pictures of her with them - that boy! After the graduation they went to lunch together. Luckily the flu was short lived for me so I was able to drag my sorry butt out of bed and hang up the signs on the garage welcoming home the newest grades for each of my kids - they expect it and love it every year. Always sad to close the book on another year of school. That same weekend, Jared went to a BBQ at Rommie's house and met with Don Stapley who is running for office - the boys could careless who was there, they just enjoyed the food trucks and playing with friends!

STIXX FARM A!

This was a really good season for Eli! It was his first time in Farm A and he was most excited about it because he could steal bases! They did pretty good as a team - should have done better, but that's ok - what Jared and I liked most is how much this kid grew! Sam Mendoza was such a good coach for Eli. He figured out how Eli worked and what methods worked best for him and he pulled out all the goodness of Eli. Eli went through a big mental shut down during the season, got a new bat, kept striking out, lost all of his confidence, but sweet Sam never gave up on him and kept encouraging him. By the end of the season, Eli was back to his good old self and was hitting, fielding and pitching great. Eli grew a ton as a pitcher, he didn't get stressed out, took it nice and slow and was fantastic! Can't wait to see him continue to grow!
