LEAP DAY!

I thought it would be fun to take advantage of Leap Day this year and I pulled Emma out of school for a couple of hours. We went to San Tan mall and got some drink from Fat Straw that she introduced me to, then we bought her some shorts at American Eagle and then ended up at MOD Pizza for lunch. It was fun to spend a couple of hours alone with her. Then back to class she went!

PLAYING HOOKY!

Since Jared was in Oregon for the week, me and the boys made an executive decision and we decided we should play hooky today! So we slept in and then we went to Bosas for donuts, went shopping for Baptism suits, went and picked oranges from our friend's tree and I was going to take them to lunch, but Mr. Goody-two shoes Tyson decided he needed to go back to school and he had to be there before math started otherwise he would be embarrassed walking in late, so everyone went back to school - what a funny kid I have!

 Tyler liked this one best, but did not want to take the pink shirt home, I told him it came with it and we had to but I promised him I would not make him wear the pink shirt!

VALENTINE'S DAY!

First year we had no dance competition on Valentine's day - it was awesome! After church we had our traditional Valentine's scavenger hunt and this time it took a lot longer - it was awesome - sadly - we decided to video tape it and forgot to take actual still pictures, dang. We kept up the other traditions and had a yummy dinner together, ordered special cupcakes and watched Be My Valentine Charlie Brown. Emma got a couple Alex and Ani bracelets and the boys all got walkie talkies. Eli was the only one this year that had to make a Valentine's box and he was so excited to come home - he said his was the best in the class!

TWINS FIELD TRIP!

Jared got to go on the twins field trip and this year we were lucky enough to get cool teachers willing to let the boys combine and both be with Jared even though they are in different classes! The boys were so excited to have their dad go with them. They went to the Orpheum Theater and watched a show about bodies.

Jared was lucky enough to be privileged to hear to this conversation on the field trip:
boy: Does gas kill brain cells?
Tyler: I like gas. I like to smell gas.
girl: Do you mean gas from a car or the other kind of gas?
Tyler: Gas from farts!

Gotta love my boys! Also - found this gem in the drawer - I am guessing Tyson wrote it the summer after Kindergarten....
