Emma got her braces off and teeth whitened!! April 2014 - December 2015. The day she got her braces off she was really excited to go to school and flash everyone who new teeth - she loved it. Later that day I took her out of school early so she could have her gums lasered to make more of her teeth show. The happiness quickly left, it hurt, they were UGLY and she hated it but was a total trooper and let everyone's negative comments about it not bother her because she knew the end result would be what she wanted!
Christmas on Comstock - also the first time the top came off the jeep - the kids giggled like little school girls - they LOVED it. We had to pick up some hot chocolate on the way to help keep us warm with our coats and blankets

letters to Santa

The boys asked when they were going to decorate Grandma and Grandpa Rodgers tree, I told them I didn't know so they called him and grandpa literally went out and bought a tree right then so we could come over later that day and do it - they love this every year and like tradition, Grandma Rodgers laid out a plate of goodies for us while we decorated

Temple lights with just the girls, me, Emma and Alyza
Making treats to deliver to friends - all the boys helped, but Tyler-man lasted the longest
Lopez Christmas Party

Christmas Light Scavenger Hunt with the Syzmanskis. Our car one, me, Jared and the boys, but I am pretty sure Ella and Emma will claim they won. After we finished finding everything on the list we met at Sodalicious. Can't wait to do it again next year!
Decorating Gingerbread trains - even though it ended up being me, Emma and Maddie versus Jenn, Masen and Millie - we won this year! Woo hoo! And then ending the night with Hot Tubing

Jingle Jog! Instead of volunteering, I got to run it with my boys this year. Tyler sprinted through the whole mile because he wanted to be the first boy in his class finished like last year (which is funny he can run that fast during the jingle jog but he HATES running club). Tyson and I ran a steady pace the whole time.

Then it came time to run with Mr. Eli. We started and he was in front of me, but the only way to catch up to him was to mow down some littles so I figured I would round the corner and catch up, he just kept running and looking back at me and I told him to keep going...well...I couldn't catch the freaking kid...so I did what any good mom would do to save face, I ran the route the opposite direction so I could meet up with him, then we started running it together and then we were nearing the finish line and he started going faster....I told him to keep going....what the heck!!! I seriously could not keep up with him - for the first time in my life, my kid beat me - saddest day ever - but at least he is cute!
I got to come back in the afternoon after the Jingle Jog and help in Tyler's class. I love his concentration.
December 18th - the day the boys had been waiting for - Star Wars was finally out! Jared bought tickets for the him and boys to go and see the first showing bright and early in the morning. The boys had spent a few days in November watching all the movies in order so they would be ready for this one. They got new shirts and wore them at the movies that morning! (not pictured is Emma, she did get to go last minute when Erika called and had an extra ticket!) Jared was so busy taking pictures at the beginning he didn't get to read the words so him and I went back on Monday and watched it together!
Jared's homemade mistle toe, enough said...
Christmas Eve spent at the Rodgers with fondue and presents and Christmas jammies

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, the kids were dressed in new jammies, sprinkling reindeer food on the lawn and laying out cookies and milk for Santa!

Christmas morning! Twins got their blade builders, Tyler got his giant lego set, Tyson got his robot fish, Eli got his air soft rifle and Emma got her Polaroid, phone, clothes, shoes, everything she wanted (apparently she told Grandpa she gets everything she wants and it appears as though she does!) This year Caryn and Ashley's families came over around 10:30am for breakfast and hanging out for a little bit - glad we added that this year to our Christmas traditions!

Later that day we went to Nathan's house for Christmas dinner and more Christmas fun, including presents and the Nativity
The day after Christmas, Emma and Eli were kind enough to watch all the grandkids so us adults could go to Top Golf and have lunch and play. Later that night, Ashley and Caryn and their families came over for popcorn, drinks and a movie.
These fart nuggets got their lego sets put together in no time at all! Smarty pants!
