ELI'S FIRST PINEWOOD DERBY!

Eli and Jared went to Brother Brice's house and he helped them for 4 hours build his car. Eli picked out the design he wanted and they went to town making it happen. Eli came home VERY proud of his car. He anxiously waited for race day. Eli loved waiting for his name to appear up on the big screen and then he would run over and load his car in it's spot and then head over and twist his hands in nervousness until his car hit the finish line. He ended up in 3rd place for the Webelos. He also got the "Sportmanship" award. I had to take the twins to their baseball game during the award ceremony so as soon as Eli got there he ran out to the car and got his trophies to show me - he was one happy boy!

TWINS FIELD TRIP!

Jared was lucky enough to be able to take work off and go on the boys field trip - its the same one he went on Eli with in 1st grade too. It's always at a sports arena and they do some athletic things, animal things - all kinds of fun stuff - there is so much to do Jared's group never gets through it all the way. Since the twins were in different classrooms this year we talked to the teachers and they agreed to let the boys go together - which was awesome for everyone! Tyson came over to Tyler's class and then Jared got to take them and a couple of other boys and spend the day with them. The boys LOVED having their dad with them!

My favorite thing about this NRG is the free pictures - although admittedly their new camera person - not as good as years past...
